My grandmother is from Germany and she said women over there donate unused breast milk to hospitals all the time for the newborns. I personally would not want my child drinking someone elses milk, but that's just me. Wet nurses have been around from the beginning of time.

23 Married White Female: I’m very healthy, do not drink smoke or take drugs. I take nutrition and a healthy lifestyle very seriously as I am still nursing my one year old atleast 5 times a day!
I pump about 30 oz a day while at work to keep up my supply. My little girl stop taking it in a sippy as she prefers the real thing. I’m an advocate for extending nursing. I have seen the benefits first hand. My child has always been in the 90th percentile for weight and height and has never been sick. Plus she is very smart for her age
My husband even nurses me when he’s feeling sick, it always seems to make him feel better! I have also tasted my mllk and it’s nice and SWEET Yummy!
I sell the milk for $1.50 and oz plus you pay shipping.
I have plenty of pics of all kinds from headshots, topless, many spraying pics, pumping, and close-ups of my pink nipples
SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY! I am saving money for childs 529 college plan.
!!!Thank you!!!

The above post seems a bit weird to me as I am selling only milk. I'm healthy and have nursed two children. Milk is for sale by the ounce and can be shipped overnight. Medicals can be provided. I do not smoke or drink. Please respond to mcfallsmccallum@aol.com for serious inquiries only.

Selling your own expressed milk is a bit odd, imo. If you're buying it from a trusted source, that you KNOW can be trusted, then I don't see a problem with it. But you know that some woman out there is going to make it an illegal thing to do after she dopes up and then sells HER milk and some baby gets sick off of it.

I find the whole thing appalling!! There is NO WAY I would ever sell my milk to anyone!! And I certainly wouldn't give someone else's to my child!

Oskyfan - what would you say to a mom who had her heart set on breastfeeding b/c she wanted the absolute best nutrition for her child, but couldn't produce milk? Or what about an adoptive parent. I'm finding that my supply is enough for two, so what harm is there in sharing? I think it's very selfish to call it appalling.

I would not feed my newborn any other human's breastmilk besides his mom's. Unless it was absolutely necessary to go with the non-mom breastmilk. Just doesn't sounds right....probably all emotions on my part. But I don't know that person's habits the way I'd know my kid's mom.

It is an old concept made new again - thus why people are having so many problems with it.

So women should turn themselves into nothing more than milk cows to supply poorly equipped "mothers" with breast milk?? This is the kind of thing that makes women look bad. WE ARE NOT JUST BREEDERS!! Stop lowering yourself to that level!! Your body is meant to nourish the offsping that comes out of it, not everyone else's. Selling breast milk is no better than women who sell their bodies for sex.

Woah.
I think you're way off-base there, Osky. I think that mothers who are willing (able, healthy) to offer their breast milk to mothers who want to give their babies everything they can is a good thing - if they want to, let them!

Besides, like I said, this is not a new idea - it's a concept that has been in practice since we were cavemen and women!!

Goodness, whats all the fuss about?....whats harm is it doing to anyone if a woman decides she wants to sell her own breast milk ?

I am a male and have tasted breastmilk before. Its nice, warm, sweet and delicious....and healthy. I wish i could find someone who would let me have some more

When my mother-in-law (who is probably around 78) was born, her mother could not nurse her, so her father made the trip every day to the hospital to pick up someone else's breast milk.

Statistically, children who are given breast milk, even if only for the first few weeks of their lives, are healthier than those children who receive formula.

I breast fed my son, and I loved the bond we had. If I could not have nursed, I would have felt better giving him someone else's breast milk rather than formula.

Think of it this way...

People give blood and organs to those people who need them. What's the difference?

I hear that there are some women that are older than 70 years of age and they are selling powdered breast milk. Is that true?
