Kooksmiles provides access to care or put down you I-phone and cable tv and pay for sedation. Or maybe be a parent and make sure you kids brush.

Is your prejudice against those in need of financial assistance really so blinding that you think my child should be put in protective custody b/c she had two cavities? Seriously? Pay closer attention to what you are reading. The care provided by Koolsmiles borders on abuse to children. If anything, it is the employee's children that should be put in custody.

Many of us whose children are on medicaid are NOT on welfare, to include myself. Got to go... I'm "off to work".

Is this the place in Rome with the little red door? I have heard some bad things about this place. Similar to the ones on this forum. They don't allow parents back with the children.

Shame on the dental office!! I have been in dentistry 22 yrs & had worked briefly at a dental office that catered to children. This is NOT OK. Ever. I also know that what you did was what you thought was right. Sadly they did scar your child. It is a horrible shame. A lot of dental offices do not allow parents to come back..now you know why. Stop beating yourself up, just know when it doesn't feel right to you, it's not.*hugs*

The consent forms are what keeps loosers like you from doing what you do. And any employee at KS knows that over ALL of their duties, getting that consent is most important. In closing my response to your pathetic remark, It is MEDICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for a tooth extraction to effect the human eye, quit embarrassing yourself. And, put more effort into getting a job, not an attorneys #.

The office with the little red door takes very good care of children. If you have any questions please call the office directly and come meet the doctor. Most cases that people don't have a good experience are the same parents that have a problem with their child's teacher, coach and etc.

I am a single mother of 5. I never pictured myself as a single parent until my then husband decided he wanted to run off with his mistress. My now ex husband is not very consistent with his child support payments & after 1 of my sons was diagnosed with epilepsy, I had to leave my job to be able to care for him. I now require the assistance of my government in order to be able to keep us afloat. Something I am not proud of but grateful for. For those of you that make remarks about those receiving any type of government assistance, I realize that there are people out there that abuse it, but please don't judge us all the same until you know our circumstances.

And some of us do recall signing consent forms. Forms that we signed TRUSTING what we thought were professionals in their chosen field, with our children's dental necessities. I'm certain there is a loop hole somewhere and I will be more than happy to sue your business for unnecessary pain caused to my children. Oh, and next time, take advantage of your spell checker. Its quite obvious you need it.

metoo wrote: <quoted text> You are seriously misinformed. The most important thing first, all dentists are trained to work on all ages. A "children's dentist" MAY or MAY NOT have had some EXTRA training in working with children and pay to get an additional certification, but ANY person with a dental degree is certified to work on children. ANY person with a dental degree is qualified to work on ANY person. Second, I know FOR A FACT that before they strapped your grandchild down, your daughter signed a form that gave them permission to do so. You "and she" may claim she didn't, but rest assure that office has that form on file to prove it. No Kool Smiles office would ever risk the repercussions of not getting that form signed. Also if your daughter was so freaked out she had to leave the room and call you she should have put a stop to that appointment. What kind of mother leaves the room if they truly believe their child is being torchered? All she had to say was stop this right now this is enough we are leaving. They would have stopped. I'm sick of hearing people acting like they have no control over what was happening. It was her child she had the power to say stop this now..... I signed the consent form. However, after my son was strapped down, he was given an injection to numb the area. The dentist informed me that once he started, he would not be able to stop until done due to possible infection. The dentist did NOT wait for my son's mouth or area to numb. My son was in pain!!! I did not stop the dentist because of what I was told. They are supposed to be PROFESSIONALS! We trusted our children with them thinking they are professionals! Please explain this to me because just the memory of it outrages me.

Fed Up wrote: Lisa, why did you stand there and watch your child treated that way? Hope you did not pay the bill. Oh, you did not pay, this is another freebie people get.If you do not like what the tax payers are paying for your childs dental work, get your own dentist and PAY for it. Since you have so much extra time to get on here and post these comments, its obvious that numerous of my family & friends pay alot more taxes than you do. Several of which after I informed them of my son's medical condition & my decision to quit my job to care for him, told me to go and apply for MEDICAID. I'm sure I will eventually get back to the workforce but at this time my son's well being is my priority. And thanks to the assistance our government offers, I am able to focus on the 1 who needs me the most. Hopefully, there will NEVER come a day when you need assistance.

Everyone who is on welfare doesn't sit home and do nothing. We get goverment assisstance and my husband is part of the army reserves and now works 12 hours a day to support us after losing his job. So you shouldn't judge based what you think you know. Some temporary situations cause people to need gov. assistance. You really need to do your research because you are just another person making judgements and ignorant statements. Maybe you should say a prayer before you respond to certain things. Things aren't always the way they seem.
