I am from a town about 10 miles from Bathgate but my aunt and uncle live there and I have been there many many times throughout my life. Bathgate is a very small town, the only buisness's I know of are the Post Office and the Bar, only about 50 people live there and about 30 of those people are members of an extremely conservative catholic ministry. Similer to menonites. I believe there called Catholic Brethren. I could be wrong, and if I am I encourage anyone to please correct me. Bathgate is the former home of the North Dakota School for the blind/and also the home town of world champion speed skater Norval Baptie. It is the type of town where no one has to lock a door.
