I visited the Slater today for the first time, with my father, who is a Navy vet, and my son.
It was a lot of fun and you will learn about how these men lived and the sacrifices these people made.

USS Slater ceremony honors volunteers
Capital Region Veterans were honored Saturday morning at the USS Slater. The ceremony on the World War II era Destroyer Escort honored the service and sacrifice of all those who served, and are serving, in the Armed Forces.
