Maryland is a beautiful state with one of the highest standards of living in the USA and some of the best schools. This gang crap is just that. We are 20 minutes from DC and its perfectly safe here. Merritt Island, Florida is even safer, but you must have an income there. Its a beautiful place on the Atlantic and quiet, and no crime. Here in Maryland you have towns with very little crime, except its expensive to live here, but there are tons of jobs as well.

Why did you respond to post that is almost two years old? Also... Merritt Island is nothing to write home about. Brevard County is one of the worst areas in Florida in terms of weather, employment and things to do. Been to the Merritt Square mall lately? Yeesh!!
