2 Adults, Boy, 8, Killed In Cathedral City Crash

An 8-year-old boy was one of three people fatally injured in a collision Sunday just north of Cathedral City , coroner's officials said on Monday. Landy Bergfield, 8, of Desert Hot Springs, was riding in a minivan that was struck head-on by a sedan about 2:20 p.m. Sunday on Mountain View Road, less than half a mile north of Varner Road, coroner's officials said. The female driver of the sedan and a male passenger in the sedan were pronounced dead at 2:33 p.m. at the crash scene, coroner's officials said.

Just wanted to say how sorry i am to Aaron's parents. I had an opportunity to work with Aaron for a short time. He was a good kid trying to make better for himself. He will be missed.

I read this just 1 year after the collision.
My 8 year old son is dead because two people thought they could pick up dope and be back to work in under 1/2 hr...that is why they were driving over 100 mph
The police report read 176 feet of skid (or locked breaks) and the vehicle still hit us with the speedometer lock at 96 MPH...
So before you feel too sorry because you knew someone or hear something sweet.. remember 100 mph in a 55 or 60 zone and my only son who was 8 years old died... So as to Aaron, I guess he should have told the girl driving to slow down. What an incredible waist of my child’s life!
