there is about 4500 to 5000+ in Sealy. Is it a friendly town? Oh hun, you just don't know!! It is a back stabbing, gossipy, little place. AND unless you have lived here your whole life or are related to someone that has lived here, their whole life, forget being welcome in this hell hole!! The schools are in turmoil, don't want to go there. Can't keep principals of the high school,(5 in 5 years) can't keep a superintendent for very long either. Run as fast as you can, away from Sealy!

The school system is and has been for many years in turmoil, and the locals are not very welcoming. I find the level of drug and alcohol abuse among all age groups to be sad. I think with so little to do in this town its easy for people to loose their way. Read some of the online Sealy News papers and that will give you a better feel for the town. (Read the Sheriffs reports on crime also)

I have to say I grew up in Sealy and the Drama, Backstabbing and all that other stuff is awful. If you dont have certain last names then you really will have a joyful time living there. I moved away and they started rumors about me why I moved. All I can say is stay away. The Alcohol and drug use is awful. But also Austin County and Washington County are ranked among the highest in teenage alcohol abuse. I would really reconsider before I moved here.

----was looking to see if anyone knew someone I saw on My Space -------I know her first name is Christi-----don't know her last name-----I think I'll pass on trying to glean any information then if everybody in the town is mean-----(Glenn Beck always spoke highly of Texas so I thought I would at least have a chance though)-----

Sealy is set for a sad wake up call; vacant houses are everywhere, businesses are pulling out, layoffs are scheduled at BAE, and the school system speaks for itself...If you move in from another community, you are treated with suspicion, and hospitality is unheard of. It's a lot like a giant white trash trailer park.

----I wrote that I am stuck in Pennsylvania because I only get two weeks off a year and my parents need me her so as far as I am concerned,I am "stuck here"-------the Southeastern U.S. and Texas and New Mexico and Arizona are pretty much the best regions to live in this nation-----(well,in my opinion they are.)--------
