Good job. Now let's hope they get convicted and put away forever. Some of the jail sentences seem awfully short. Deportation is not a good option because they would just come back.

and be besides many of these people are american citizens, especially nortenos. reality is that american citizens of all colors are in gangs these days, it is not just a latino problem, or a black problem.

And thank you for giving us scum like Philip Sparks and Shawn Cameron, two of three leaders mentioned here.
And where do you think that the gangs get their money and influence? From selling drugs that would (and should except tweak) be legal if the same right wing birdbrains that spread race hate didn't angrily block any attempts to legalize them.

I knew this story would bring out all of the racist trolls, instead of just people who are thankful that law enforcement is doing what they can to bring down these gangs.

What? One of these guys was in jail only four months ago after Operation Smoke and Mirrors? And the other promoted while in the slammer???!!! Somethings wrong here. How about making things really exciting and kick off Operation Meat Grinder. I don't want to see, read or hear about these A$$H01e$ anymore.

We should put one of those under the skin tracking devices prior to catch and release back over the border like in that movie "Total Recall". Once they start to enter the US illegally the device would... lets just say things would get uncomfortable.

Hey you backwater barely-reading racist-as$ bum steers! Your hardening arteries and organs are evident in your postings here. Yo Sherlock,
some of the dudes were white! Did you even read the article? CAN you read? Take them into YOUR home/community if your white 'pride'(racism) is so strong you hypocrite! You are an embarrassment to humans everywhere, and you'll suffer in ignorance 'till you free yourself from it with education. Matter of fact, why don't you deport yer own frikkin ship-jumping selves. England? Netherlands? He11?

Does anyone one else feel like shipping off all of the gang upper management to prison is just a way to encourage promotions from the lower levels? A top-heavy organization is bound to be bad for the organization eventually.

I think that last big sweep was Surenos, right? If so, I'm glad to see that law Enforcement balanced things out. As crazy as it seems, it could actually be worse for the civilians if only one gang has unchecked power in a community.

Send each to different prisons out of state where none of the known gang leaders operate.
Question: Why do convicted imprisoned gang leaders have access to phones, visitors and mail in jail? Prisoners can exercise and work out with weights together. Is that punishment? Is the system overly humane toward convicts serving time for inhumane acts?

It's reassuring to know that the person assisting you at the hardware store is a high level gang leader, perhaps even the top guy. You always want the most experienced person available.

Lots and lots and lots of babies. Cholos are now 20% of kindergarten entrants in the U.S. at large. In ten years when their babies enter it will be 50% and in 20 years, 90% or more (Santa Cruz has reached that already) and there is not a thing we can do to stop it. We aren't losing the country, we have lost it. Glad I'm approaching the end of my tenure in this disintegrating land. Sure wouldn't want to be growing up in it.
