Commuter service plans moving ahead

The Transportation Agency for Monterey County is leaning toward development of a light rail commuter service linking Castroville and the Monterey Peninsula, contending it would be a more efficient, attractive people-mover along the former railroad right-of-way that the agency owns.

Judged:

The light rail is a waste of tax payer monies. Stop it now and use the monies to fix our streets and side walks and what is left over improve the bus service to the State College. We do not have a major traffic problem.
