This is so sad. The same girl is quoted in last weeks article about Long Trail graduation. So young, so bright, even graduating a year early. My heart goes out to her family and friends. Life is not easy.

Ellen, you were such an inspiration to all of us students. May you sing with the angels now, my friend.
With love.

Real Vermonter, she was on her way home from a chiropractor appointment. Because of the rain, she slid into the other lane and crashed into the incoming car.

wow my thoughts go out to the family
A Better Place

She’s in a better place right now
Than she’s ever been before;
All pain is gone; she’s now at rest;
Nothing troubles her anymore.

It’s we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief;.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.

We know we’ll reconnect with her
At the end of each life’s road;
We’ll see her cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.

The reason I asked was because the story just said crossed into the northbound lane and that the police are seeking more information about the crash! They usually don't do that when a cause has been determined! Which law enforcement agency did you hear from that it was determined that she slid because of the rain?

I saw this on the Vermont Stete Police website!

RV, I am surprised, you haven't insinuated the young lady was under the influence of marijuana. Or maybe you are since you are questioning that the slippery roads caused the crash?

My deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends.

Shaft/Rv, there is nothing to say about this tragedy that could be constructive. I was merely questioning you.

Again, my sympathies go out to the parents.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Libra

It's Christmas Eve and you're running around like a scalded cat. However, it will do you no end of good if you can find a few moments here and there for some quiet contemplation. You might want to visit a place that's sacred to you, or take a walk in some beautiful surroundings so you can commune with nature. You need to feel that you're connecting with something bigger than yourself.
