Have you ever thought to yourself as a taxpayer where all your money was going? I'm sure you have noticed the nice new field house we now have,The Football team did have an outstanding year.Do you remember voting to build it? Don't you think that something that took so much money should have been voted on? Would you have voted for it? Perhaps you would have voted to make it safer for kids to walk to school by following up on the walkway to the High School instead, maybe repairing some of the leaking roofs in our exsisting school buildings (ask your kids next time it rains how many trash cans and buckets they had to walk around)replace some of the water stained moldy ceiling tiles.Maybe you would have bought more books so that everyone could have one and not have to share one in classand be able to take it home for homework,or more computers.
Should we start attending school board meetings to make sure that things that need to be done get done, instead of things that some want but we do not need.
They are thinking about ccontracting out the kitchen to cut cost.I think our money should stay in Cassville. If they start with the kitchen, then who, janitors, bus drivers??
The next board meeting will be March 12 at 6:00,In the new Middle school. It is open to the public.Usually only the board and some school officals attend,if we attended maybe we could see what is really going on.Instead of finding out later, after it's done.
Let US put our kids first. We have a great future, waiting to be taught.Let's do all we can to make it the best place for them to be taught in.Thanks for your time. Concerened Citizens of Cassville

It is a BIG building but I'm sure it will be enjoyed by everyone. The books are needed,so is the walkway. My kids had said something about the lunch cuts,Take only what you are going to eat.I agree with that.I think we should fix the problem within the system instead of sending our money to others out of our area.just my ideas on your thoughts. Thanks!Chris

My grandkids go to school there. They have money or they wouldn't have bought new buses or pave the feild house parking lot.Right? How do they think getting someone else, not from Cassville could do a better job than the people that went to school here, their kids go to school here.Don't you think they would do what they could to cut cost without Outsiders. Thanks!

I agree with this post! Maybe that money could have been placed in the "backpack program" to make sure that program continues. We have children going to school in this economy that are homeless and can't afford items needed to help better their education!

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Capricorn

The Moon enters your fourth house of home and family today, urging you to spend more time with your loved ones. There may be trouble brewing at home, so head it off at the pass before tomorrow, when conditions are right for a blowout. Take the time to really listen to what the people you live with are saying. If you live by yourself, you might want to water your plants and talk to them for a while; they miss you.
