I think some of the teachers pushing this insurance issue are living in a bubble. Have they noticed we are in a recession? It is not only them though, the super is reaping in some very good benefits and extra cost monthly as well; almost too good to allow teacher cuts. So the people who are not affected by the cuts of course want the best benefits and could care less about teacher cuts. Those that do care chose to keep out of it or claws will come out. I am a good friend of some teachers who have lost their jobs and it is senseless!

I agree the people at the top or that have been their the longest are affected the least so they feel the right to get as much as they can while others may be dangling in the wind. The top people should be willing to take a pay cut to keep more teachers there. That is the best thing for the kids, not some big guy at the top getting top pay and extra benefits.

Well did you know you can find out the superintendant's pay and his benefits, just by asking? It is public right.
