By M. Scott Morris Daily Journal TUPELO - The original Elvis Presley never wore a jumpsuit at the Lyric Theatre. When we passed the Lyric Theatre 2002 there was a life-sized image of Elvis in the window. How Elvis would have smiled at that!

The Elvis Festival and all the publicity it generates along with Elvis's birthday celebrations will ensure the world knows exactly where Tupelo is.

Thanks TCB-girl, Tupelo needs to get Elvis into the centre of the City. The birthplace and museum etc are not exactly centre stage.

I understand they like to take the understated approach but with Elvis flamboyant exposure tastefully done is a virtue.:-)

Ideas would be appreciated.

Something All visitors to the city would recognise as an Elvis tribute. Defining the city as the birthplace of the most important entertainer America has ever produced.
