Review: Carisio-Farber, Renee MD - Renee Carisio-Farber MD

Will never go back. I have been going to this dr for years and it has only gone down hill. She is always distracted and rushed. Does not take time to listen to my problems and often is very uneducated about my case. (That she has been dealing with for years) The topper was when I asked for a copy of my records and was given someone elses records along with my own.

Please, don't tell me this. I am scheduled for surgery with her soon. So far, I have been pleased, but I haven't ever had any physical problems until now. Although , I do understand why you would say you felt rushed with her. I think since she has been in her own practice, she is overwhelmed being by herself seeing all her patients. She probably has too many patients to keep up with. The mighty dollar is needed to keep up with the new rent I suppose.
Anyone else had any experiences with her that you'd like to share ~ positive or negative?

I just moved to the area. Any recommendations on doctors for my kids and for me/my husband? My son has allergies too.

Well, I just had my surgery, and did well with no complications. Bed side manner was fine from Dr. Carisio. I've called today to ask her some questions, we'll see how quickly my call is returned.
Other drs. that I like are Piedmont Pediatrics. May have to wait in waiting room a while, but what else is new in a pediatrician's office? Also like Dr.Michael Lin for family doctor. Get in easily and walk out satisfied. He is really concerned about you and listens well to you.

my advice is to stay away - nothing but bad experiences with her. rushed and impatient bedside manner, bad delivery experience, worse tubal ligation experience (as in she botched it...) - this was late '04, early '05 - from what i understand not much has changed.

I had wonderful experience with her and a couple of my friends use her and have had a great experience as well. I had my baby in July and I never felt rushed.

Yes, you do have to ask questions she does not just toss information out there. However, if you have questions or concerns she will sit with you and answer all of them. I never felt like she was too busy but you do need to take the time to ask!!!

I delivered via an emergency c-section and she was so patient and kind considering I was so nervous and upset. I was so happy to have her to help me through everything. I never felt as if my questions were stupid or unwarranted she took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand.

My only compliant is the sometimes-snotty front desk appointment scheduler. She is not friendly at all but I am there for a top dr and I am willing to put up with the snot if I get a great dr.

Nothing but great experiences here! Dr. Carisio delivered my second daughter in June 2007. I always felt she was up-to-date on my pregnancy and knew who I was. I never felt rushed and was surprised that she was there for every prenatal appointment, seeing as she delivers so many babies. My delivery was an amazing experience (VBAC), she was great! She also performed my tubal in March 2009 and it was flawless. I had no pain, very little bloating and no scarring. I will continue to see her for my annual exams. I love Dr. Carisio and her staff!

Saw her a few weeks ago and it was the pits. She was cursory in her exam (an incrediby quick breast exam) and seemed very rushed and antsy. Her Va. Medical Boards report is the pits. She's moving to Fredricksburg to a new practice.
