Just because 6 were indicted for the deaths does not mean that they were guilty of the crime. In fact, there has not been a trial or confession by at least 3 of the persons charged. I know for a fact that the West Carroll Police officers conducted a fairly poor investigation into this, as well as the fire department. Going off of strictly heresy does not constitute a detailed investigation, especially not one to warrant arrests. While I empathize with the family of the victims, I cannot condone unfair imprisonment.

I really don't think you have a clue as to the nature of this crime. All of the ones indicted are relatives of mine and they will get what they deserve. Ignorance is no excuse for taking a life. They all deserve life in prison if the death penalty is not available.

Maybe you are the one without a clue to about this crime. You say that all of the ones INDICTED are relatives of yours and that they will get just what they deserve? If you TRULY know these guys, then are you basing your OPINION off of how they conducted themselves in the streets e.g.(@ parties, clowning around, fighting, fraternizing), or is this something YOU saw with your OWN eyes, you heard with your OWN ears, and you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that these guys did this? I beg to differ!! Although these relatives may honestly defend themselves by fighting with their hands, I don't think that they would take a life, especially knowing what God's commandments say about such a thing. Maybe it is easier for you to judge so harshly because the nature of the crime was so horrific, and for that I can agree with you. However, all of the facts must fit the case, and unless you have read the actual transcripts from the police interviews as I have, you don't have cause to open your mouth and dispell any judgements on any of these young men. Don't let the police and lawyers in real life fool you when they say that interrogations are not sometimes faulty, misleading, persuasive, or coaxed---because these were--I SAW IT!! I have no reason to lie, but thinking that God is pleased with sending innocent people to prison to justify bringing the bereaved family peace is not true. I know that my God does not work like that. There was a huge meeting with Congress and the Supreme Court about this issue just a week ago, televised. It is become public knowledge that public officials, judges, lawyers, officers of the law, etc. are selling innocent people out for outrageous sentences in prison, as worse as selling your family up the river without a paddle. This issue is raising awareness and do not be surprised when it comes to these small towns---JUSTICE that is! Don't be so quick to judge without knowing all or least some of the FACTS...NOT FICTION!!

I always pay attention when someone begins a sentence with "I know for a fact" If you actually knew anything about this case, you would know that local law enforcement did assist in the investigation, but the Louisiana State Police took the lead, which is common for a crime such as this. The local "fire department" is all volunteer and doesn't investigate anything. The State Fire Marshalls were called in for this. You have not read any transcripts of any statements taken by the State Police and I would be surprised if discovery has happened yet. The confessions (more than one) that they do have, implicate the others that were arrested, and what element do you need for an arrest warrant?

I will respond to your comment by saying this...you are a breathing contradiction! In your reason to read your forum comments you say that they will ALWAYS be based on truth. If that's the case, I pay attention when MAN uses that word, ALWAYS! Nothing is ever Always according to man, only GOD. Do you agree, Christian? Regardless if you do or not, never underestimate the power of God and His plan for anything because He can use whom He so desires to get His will accomplished. See, I really did read these documents and they were PLACED into my hands by way of a RAM IN THE BUSH! If you were so discreetly reading my earlier comment, you would have seen that I did say that it was a POORLY conducted investigation. If you would have been following the news leads you would also have seen where the State Fire Marshalls were not the representatives that made a comment to the media...the LOCAL fire department did! Furthermore, I attended a very important Federal meeting in Homer, LA where the U.S. Attorney General, local and federal FBI were present and discussed this very issue was discussed. Let's just say that alot of things did not add up in this particular investigation. I must say that it seems as if I touched a nerve, and that you perceive to be very INTIMATE with this investigation. Makes me ponder how closely you are RELATED to this problem? In Christian love, because God sees and knows all...Dee T

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Pisces

You're lacking in energy and resources today, which will soon slow you down and make you feel as though you're wading through treacle. The only way to cope is to have as many breaks as possible, and not to set yourself impossible goals that you could never hope to meet. You're also very susceptible to the criticisms or put-downs of others, but do your best to ignore them.
