4 Mr. Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, had opened fire Thursday at a soldier processing center at Fort Hood, Tex., killing 13 and wounding 29 in the worst mass shooting on a military facility in the U.S. Mr. Lieberman said that if news reports were true that Mr. Hasan had turned to Islamic extremism, "the murder of these 13 people was a terrorist act and, in fact, it was the most-destructive terrorist act to be committed on American soil since 9/11." This administration doesn't want to recognize the obvious. They are so politically correct when it comes to muslims they refuse to admit an act of terrorism has occurred. The same president who was so quick to accuse a white Cambridge policeman of racism when the supposed victim was black, can't bring himself to even admit the possibility of terrorism against an american muslim who fires off some 100 rounds of ammo at Fort Hood soldiers, murdering 13 and wounding 30. |

it broke my heart when i heard this. i know some people who are stationed at fort hood but they are overseas in Iraq right now. Thank heavens they weren't there when it happened. My heart goes out to all the victims in this sad time.

How can you people compare color barriers to fallen soldiers slayed at the hand of a mentally unbalanced idiot? A soldiers death has no color barriers. Your sounding like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

Not a "mentally unbalanced idiot" but an Islamic extremist. I myself witnessed an Arab/Muslim soldier make anti-American comments and never met one who didn't who wasn't anti-Israel. When these things are taken to the chain of command, they are routinely squashed. No one wants to get their hands dirty with this stuff. The Army is very PC now. |

my spouse is Arabic. i am American. we've been together for 8 years. we each have our own beliefs and niether one questions the other. what goes on in your heart is between you and God,,,whether it be my God, Allah, Buddah or any God you choose. the way we both worship is something that we each hold sacred in our own hearts and don't share with the other. we get along fine. always have,,hopefully always will. we lived in SA for 3 years before moving back to the states and out of respect for my spouse and family, i followed the country's laws as far as outward appearance, whether clothing or social. the only thing i didn't do was daily evening worship. i stayed home and didn't go outside. yes, my spouse is an "Arabic/Muslim soldier" who is niether anti-American nor anti-Israel. maybe if one country/religion would quit stereotyping the other, they wouldn't be so quick to get angry and lash out. and i'm speaking about ALL countries.

Our country and these soldiers deserved better. This tragedy could have been averted. Therefore, you are "clueless". |

This was not a mentally disturbed person. This is what they are taught by their religion and their leaders. You all can get on here and white wash it and blame it on mental problems, but it is not. The facts that are coming out show his association with terrorist groups. It is a way of life for this religion. These radicals have no respect for human life. HE WAS A ISLAMIC TERRORIST. I love my brothers so much, I want to encourage the government to do all it can to keep them alive, be they christian or muslim. I also think we should use the good sense God blessed us with. No not all. The muslims who kill innocent people to cause terror are terrorists. White people who kill innocent people to cause terror are terrorists. Christians who kill innocent people to cause terror are terrorists. Terrorists are terrorists no matter what color they are or what beliefs they have. Maybe some day when you see your buddy that you just played chess with the night before blown up in a hmmmer in your convoy and you help pick up the leftover pieces of his body to send home to his family, the real definition of terrorism and the lack of respect these people have for human life will become a reality to you.
