Join Dan Knowles and Make Him Your New Sheriff

One last comment. What Dan says above is quite true. Yes, I live in Floyd Co. Having said that, Bartow is my County and has been for a lot of years. I suffer because of it. Here's why. I support Bartow, I shop in Bartow, I pay taxes in Bartow (all taxes) but yet, I am not allowed to vote in Bartow because of my physical location. So be it. I have avoided stating on here the specific reason why I left the Millsap camp. I initially just left it as "Events made it impossible for me to support him".

If I were betting, I would bet that my detractors here work for Millsap or are his kinfolk. I could lose that bet, but it would be a good one.

As far as the term "kiddie police" is used. It's ignorant. Dan has spent a lifetime of service in law enforcement AND the Military at various levels and there is one quality he has that you should beg for in your Sheriff. That one quality is integrity. I challenge any of you Millsap supporters to find one person who will come forward and say one negative thing about Dan Knowles. He sets out everyday to do what's right.

Now, you are going to hear a lot of well investigated and provable (remember that I used that term provable) reasons why you should not return Clark Millsap to the Sheriff's office. In my opinion, once those reasons are stated, good people will be properly alarmed and concerned that Millsap has not been a good steward of taxpayer dollars. Now to some of you, that will make no difference. Others will care but not take the time to vote. Others, and I believe a lot of others, will vote to make a change.

I wish I could vote in Bartow County. I would cast that vote for Dan Knowles and know that the Sheriff's Office would be in good, caring and impeccably honest hands.

You would lose that bet. I have never once worked for Mr. Millsap, nor have I ever seen him other than on television or in the newspaper. I am not related to him in any way. You cannot grasp the idea that people should be allowed to support someone other than who you think we should. We are all allowed to vote for whoever we want.

The bullying techniques this campaign is starting to use by implying if you don't vote for dan you have questionable character, has lead me to make several decisions. One, I previously supported dan, stated so in email and on his facebook page. I have now withdrawn my name from his website and put his email name in a filter so I will never receive anything from him again. Two, I received daily updates from the Patch. That site has been blocked now. I removed Tommy's radio station from my presets and have not listened to his station in two months. Three, I was for the removal of Mr. Millsap as sheriff. I have now joined his campaign and will put every effort I can into his reelection.

Before you start criticizing me for my decision, remember this... it is my right to support and vote for who I feel is better for the job.

I am not aware of any bullying techniques for which you reference as they have not come from me. I will apologize if you felt any negativity was supported by me. I have promised not to run a smear campaign and still pledge to do so. I raise my right hand and swear/promise that I have not directed anyone to bully or try to intimidate anyone in reference to this campaign. I can not control what the general public says or does on this site. Feel free to contact me personally through my email or phone in reference to your concerns.

My mission is to make the public aware of this campaign and the July 31 primary. Considering all the open offices and candidates available, July 31 will be the most decisive vote the Bartow County for some time to come. I would hope and ask that you vote for me, but I alos understand that some will vote for Millsap no matter what. Heck I voted for him, but I have discovered issues that disturb me and will come to light as factual/ documented occurrences and the public should know.

am a knowles supporter and used to be a milsap supporter. here is a taste of what you will see.

1. why was his own sons case for (meth poss) first reduced to a misd. and then dead docketed, meaning it has gone away? as a dad, I understand this but as someone sworn to impartialy uphold the law, it stinks and stinks bad.

2. why did he order his own people not to even discuss the missing generator from the evidence room under threat of being fired. why no internal affairs done?

3. why did he go out of town to buy police cars when the bid was within a hundred dollars of the local bid and he only gave the local ford store notification after he had already ordered the cars?

4. why is the county gas used by the sheriffs office not even offered up for bidding or contract? His answer is that -I dont work for the commisioner- legal maybe. ethical?? Is the owner of this gas company one of his biggest supporters financially?

5. should nepotism be viewed suspiciously?? since 2000, over 2 million in salaries alone paid to millsaps at the Sheriffs office, and this doesnt include cousins.

6. How did he sell a dead drug dog to the kingston police??

7. Why was he using a 4 wheeler intented for law use only as his own personal deer hunting veh?

8. why was tim casselbery fired right after he tried to step in when an inmate was being tazed multiple times??

this is only the point of the spear. remember what you have read today, and vote your conscince as these things get talked about.

yep, knowles supporter right here and with what I think is damn good reason. I can tell you that IF these things are proven untrue, Ill vote for Clark again as I voted for him and gave him money in the past, though not much.

One - I think there are two many chiefs and not enough Indians. I count 5 Majors not counting his father on the employee list. I want to restructure the command staf eliminating 3 of the Major positions. Not that the people would be removed, just under a different rank and command structure. In doing so I can realign the department in adding more Sergeants and more line deputies and still have funds left over. The budget had to be amended, according to records, over $130k. Just removing two of those positions would eliminate that deficit.

Two- I will have a specialized unit, Selective Enforcement Unit, to focus on crime where ever it may be happening. For example, if your neighborhood is being rashed with thefts, then the unit will be assigned to your area to deter and apprehend the suspects

Do you even know Dan Knowles? Who cares if Thrasher does not live in Bartow. It is time for a change. With all the crap that has happen on Milsap's watch does he really need to be reelected. Guns, money, nepotism and not to mention questionable use of resources.

Well anyone who listened to the debate tonight should see that Sheriff Millsap was fandangtastic!!!! Poor Knowles agreed with everything he said and even "dittoed" him a few times. He plainly didn't have any new ideas of his own and when Bill shows him the debate(that he sat recording the whole time) he will see how poorly he did daring to run against the best Sheriff this county will ever or has ever had. He clearly doesn't have a clue as to how to run a sheriff's office and anyone who was there should bbe convinced of that now!! YOU GOOOOOO SHERIFF MILLSAP!!!!!!!
