Leave it to the good ole' cornhuskers to allow thier players to be undisciplined gods, so, when they leave the University, they are niether educated or mannered. No more useful to team, they are hung out to dry and on thier own. While players, they get away with rape and all sorts of crimes. hard for them to relize they can't do it the rest of theri lives. So much for phony xian college sports.

Rita, One bad apple out of a thousand is not that bad. Why not comment on all the players that have made good with education. You sound like a angry and bitter person. I feel sorry for you.

rita: He was a player that got extra chances and help when he was at the University, after that, you are supposed to grow up and be on your own. You make the choice and live by it, why the bitterness? you sound really hateful and dumb.

Because I saw the hypocracy around the Husker football team and the "great" Tom Osborne. Tghe sadder part of the equation is that players who were injured or didn't make the cut were turned out and, in many instances, did not complete theri education. That is why, at one point, State senater Ernie Chambers introduced a bill to make college football players professionals. That way, if injured or cut from the team for some reason, at least they could get disability and finish school. Another infamous instance is where a player got arrested for dui. The case was dismissed becasue the officer couldn't identify the player in court. You have to understand, football in Nebraska is a religion and the police could certainly identify you or me if we has been arrested. Players impregnating underage girls has also been a problem. Because these guys know they can get away with most anything, they do and it does them a disservice when they go out into the world. It;s not about being angry or bitter, it is about fairness and using universities and sports to allow people to better themselves.

Guess what rita, Life isn't fair, so therefore u need to make your own decisions and when u decide to kill a person, u don't get to play the Ernie race cards. And your very misinformed, when a player gets injured, they still get to continue on their scholarship, and how much do u think that is worth these days? You sound like a mis-informed racist loser, i guess santa cruz rent is getting to your thick empty head.

While true taht, SOMETIMES, injured or dropped Huskers can retain scholorships, becasue they were admitted for athletic and not scholastic abilities, they need more help than the average student. sadly, they do not get this help unless still part of the team. the racism in this situation does not lie with me, but with the continuing exploitatikon of young black men to feed the sports frenzy, then dismissed and forgotten once thier usefulness to the big old white money machine is no longer apparent. Of course, people are respnsible for thier actions, though it is very difficult ot be treated as a god and have limited boundaries and, suddenly be considered just another student. Look at Mike tyson for an example. He was so good, recognized as as money machine at a very young age. He had some obvious problems and they weren't dealt with. Maybe prison could have been avouded of Mike as a teen had been given the care and respect of a child needing some direction instead of being pandered to becasue he was considered potential valuable property. And you're right, maybe i am abit extreme on one side of this argument and maybe this is merely to get those to see there is a problem and real humans are being done a diservice. And, btw, Ernie Chambers was the only black State Senator in Nebraska for many years, in fact I think he may be the only black senator nebraska has had, before or since. The Creighton Law School graduate represented his district so well, the State first tried to reditrict to get ride of him, then passed a term limits law, also know as the "get rid of Ernie" law. A brilliant and controversial man that was a thorn in the side of Nebraska conservatives for decades.

Pull your head out of the race card. Life is not fair for everyone, what are u going to do? jump off a bridge? anyone that uses mike tyson as an example is beyond arguing with, he has a brain of a 10 year old. What's yours? 12. Everyone knows chambers only looks out for his race, what do u call people that do that? Racists.

You re so wrong about Ernie Chambers. While true, while Senator, he brought up issues that affected blacks in the state. Of course, his district had more blacks than any other district That;s what he was elected to do, represent his constituents. he also was active in the farm crisis of the '80's, against the death penalty, and both Irag wars, among other issues. these are not exclusively back issues. How many politicians can you name, from majority white edistructs, that spend antime time working for poor, working class and those of color? Yet, you complain about one person representing thier constituents, which, btw, have many of the same issues as working and middle classs white america.
as for tyson haveing the brain of a ten year old, I don't know about that. I do know, expecially if someone is developmentally challenged, they need boundary settings even more, as they can easily be manipulated by others into actions not in thier best interests.

I do believe Pres. Bush spent a lot of time working with the poor working class and those of color other than white. He did and so did his Dad!

You all know that a breed of dogs that does much less harm than this race is banned from cities all around our country while the race that commits the majority of rapes and murders at an alarming rate are constantly being allowed back among us. How disappointing.

I am suggesting we take an honest look at the real problem and ban those people creating the problems. The facts below are not what I choose them to be, they are facts I have no control over short of committing crimes to increase my races stats. I would prefer the oppisite to occur and those holding our society hostage stop lying and face the honest truth. Can you?

Blacks "were 7 times more likely than Whites to commit homicide in 1998".
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/homicide/race.ht...

Blacks are four times as likely as Whites to kill their children...
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/homicide/kidsrat...

28% of Blacks go to jail, vs. 4.4% of White males
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/crimoff.htm

bastards! 68.7% of Blacks are born out of wedlock!
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/pdf/nvsr50_05...

56% of female Blacks have genital herpes!!! See page 21 of...
http://www.cdc.gov/nchstp/dstd/Stats_Trends/T...

Though only 12% of the population, more blacks are on welfare than Whites!

I'm not disputing the facts, dude. I'm just asking him what should be done about it. A guy can bitch and moan all he wants, but if he doesn't offer a solution, he's just pissing against the wind.

The first thing is make people aware, most Blacks don't want to face the facts, and he did suggest they do that.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Capricorn

Take things slowly and all will be well. However, you must resist a tendency to be perfectionist over things that don't really matter, otherwise you'll never finish the chores. If you're busy with Christmas preparations, you'll have to control a nagging feeling that you've got to compete with the way other people have done things in the past.
