What does everyone think about a drive-in
theater around Carrollton? Would like to hear some opinion and if anyone would go to one if there was one built?

Those are a thing of the past - uncomfortable, and trouble breaks out. People want air conditioning and safety. No, we would never go to a drive in theater. Why would anyone in this day and time?

yes that would be great to have a drivein theater thats the problem with carrollton if it has something to do with drugs and liquer thats ok they don't know what its like to have a normal enjoyable life sitting at a drivein movie is wonderful, calming, as far as a airconditioner what would you do if you didn't have one
Carrollton needs to get with the times have a inside move theater for those who has to be inside and one outside for those who doesn't ditch the campground we didn't need it it was waisted money ask the people of carrollton what they want not the high paid people that are speaking for us they don't know what we want.

I don't think anything like a movie theater will go in Carrollton..we have NOTHING to bring people here.No good places to eat and only walmart to shop.I agree the rv park was a waste of money.Would have been much nicer to have a water park for the kids.Too bad they don't ask for other peoples input before they waste our money.

That would be Twin Hills Drive-in theater. Wonder if they ever converted to the digital projectors as required by the end of the year? If not, they they too will become as extinct as a Tyrannosaurus. No more 35mm feature films will be printed by the studios after this year and whomever does not upgrade to the new (forced) format will perish.

Drive-ins are done, with the exception of a very limited market 'niche' venues. It's unfortunate for sure but they have been all but dead for 20 years or so. So good luck on building a new one and hope you have other means of income to support you and your family. Just a fact of the times. I can get a nice move for a buck at redbox and pop my own corn.....:-[

What kind of "trouble"? I have been to several, the town in central ky have restored their and use them regularly and I have never witnessed any trouble other then the occasional group trying to sneak friends in.

A drive in can't pose any more danger than all the nasty bars, drinking joints and meth labs in the county already. We complain about our young people not having anything to do yet we refuse to support actually giving them any thing to do.

I think a drive in would be a great idea and el they should have turned the area behind point park into something like that which us locals can use as opposed to an rv park to function as overflow for the occasional race at Sparta. Thee are plenty of campsites around tout no movie theatres. And it would have made a lot more money.

if you think you can make a go of it have at it. go buy some land and equipment and build a secession stand. there's nothing stopping anyone from trying to make it work. do your research and build a business plan. good luck with financing. if you're lucky you can do it for about half a million.
