The bathrooms at the Rec Dept are so NASTY! I'm so tired of having to wait till I get home or having to leave during practice just to pee!! Not only do they STINK but they look unsanitary. I'm afraid to even use them. It's so sad that Bremen City won't do anything about this. We pay plenty of money in taxes and plenty of money in sports for them to do something about this. My kids won't even go in there?!? They go to the porty potty instead. This is getting to the point where Bremen city residents and parents of kids that play sports there need to do something.
I've called the Rec Dept but they don't care.
What inrritates me the most is the fact they have the money to give all those teenagers a John Deere cart to drive around but can't atleast clean up the bathrooms some! I think those kids can walk around to do their jobs!
It's embarrassing when we go to all these different ballparks like Temple, Villa Rica, Carrollton, Tallapoosa, etc... and they actually have nice bathrooms!!
I could go on and on about the way our Rec Dept looks but is it even worth it? Will Bremen ever decide to put a little money into things that we actually need? I mean we just HAD to have a performing art center but we can't clean up the rec dept?
UGH!!!!

Why in the world would anyone have to volunteer to have clean bathrooms? That is ridiculous! I mean come on.

#1 Your an idiot.

#2 I never said there is anything wrong with the performing art center. I said if we have the money to build that then why can't we atleast get our bathrooms cleaned up at the rec

I have to agree. If the bathrooms bother you so much, why not call up Parks & Rec and find out if groups can volunteer to clean them. Challenge other teams or groups to take a week to keep them clean.

Seems to me if you use the facility you'd be willing to help maintained it. There's probably no money to pay for enough staff to do it.

It's called "civic responsibility". Try it sometime.

That was a stupid post. Inmates from the county jail should be cleaning the three times a week.
That means you will be there. How sweet.

About as ridiculous as claiming the bathrooms were basically unusable. That poster was just some disgruntled loser that failed to get their way, so they make up some BS about dirty bathrooms. Typical.

MS04 you obviously have no kids in sports at the rec dept or are use to going to a dirty bathroom. I didn't fail to get my way. I am a mother that sits at the ballfield all day with 2 kids in sports and would just like to go in a clean restroom. If I could do something about this I would but the rec dept or the city won't do anything about it.

Are you serious!! That's what the rec dept employees are responsible for.
I do my fair share for this community so do not tell me I need to help.
You along with MS04 just say things to be rude and obviously haven't visited the rec dept.

You say "they" will not do anything about it, I say you are making this up. Tell us specifically who you have called at the Rec Dept. and City to complain about the dirty bathrooms.

Those bathrooms are nasty so it appears you made a decision based on no knowledge at all.
I have used the Rec Dept bathrooms numerous times. While they are not all made of marble shining with the scent of pine, they are completely usable.

See post #4 honey to see who started the rude name calling. Then look up the word "hypocrite".

You admit you sit at the ballfield "all day". Seems to me if you have that kind of time on your hands, you could ask the P&R dept if they need help keeping the bathrooms clean. What, 10 minutes out of your busy day to swamp out the johns and make sure there's TP, soap and towels? Maybe you and the other moms could do a round robin, since y'all are there "all day".

Are you unaware of the fiscal issues facing the city, county, state and country? There have been lay-offs and cut-backs everywhere. There's probably no one left to clean the johns, which means either the citizens who use the park have to pitch in, or you just have to deal with dirty bathrooms.

Quit clutching your pearls and grab a mop and a bucket, Princess.

You are talking about the ones next to field four? It smells like someone urinated all over the walls in 105 degree temps.
I think that is a little overboard, but they are outside bathrooms. They are completely usable.

Wobbler, I agree we should all work together for the benefit of our community, but there is no way I would clean those restrooms just out of the kindness of my heart. I don't know what condition they are in now, but years ago they were intimidating. I can't imagine they have gotten any better.

I'm just pleased to see that there have been no accusations leveled yet about Coach Tolleson's behavior in these restrooms.

It's not the kindness of your heart, it's the good of the community. If you don't want your kids or yourself to use them, why in the world should you want other people and their kids to do so?

I'm just saying, take the initiative. Bleach kills anything.

The performing arts center is being built by the school system. It has nothing to do with the rec dept or their restrooms. So quit whining and get a life!
