I'm going to be moving to SB from N. CA; new student at SBCC.

It's a little tough trying to filter through all the ads I've been reading and I'm wondering what your thoughts are on best areas to live or any specific apartment complexes/areas to avoid.

Still hoping that I could get some good advice from a few locals who know the scoop re: college housing.

I've heard about "Trap Houses" all around SB who prey on college students; both local and international.

I find a lot of conflicting reviews re: apartments near SBCC. What's our take on Bueana Vista?? Good, bad, ok, stay away??
