Villa Park man indicted in DuPage drug-related homicide

Methadone is the #1 killer of prescription narcotics in this country. Deaths come from clinics, use by pain management and diversion of both sources. You DO NOT have to abuse this drug to die. Some have lost their life from a single small dose and nothing else in their system. Thousands are dying yearly and many are being monitored by a doctor. This is a very lethal and unstable drug and is limitless on its distribution. It is currently very popular on the streets and crime related incidents are on the rise. Methadone in it's most frequently known use is the biggest medical marketing scam to ever hit this nation, legally.
Our federal agencies placed to protect us are controlled by big money drug companies. The FDA receives 79% of their funding to reveiw drugs from the drug companies themselves. SAMHSA provides funding to aid in therapy that provides Methadone to addicts for indefinite periods. These are clinics that are not detoxing the patrons but keep them on a highly addictive drug for years, some even a lifetime. At the same time making millions of dollars in profits and hiding behind the Americans for Disabilities Act for protection. Forcing their way into communities that do not want them near their homes and businesses, the clinics always win, legally.
Methadone misuse and abuse is out of control in this country and is an epidemic. Most of the abuse of distributing this drug comes from the medical profession themselves. This drug is a Schedule II narcotic on the same level as Morphin, Dilaudid, Demerol and others. Clinics are giving very high doses to addicts on a daily basis, not following a proper detox plan and call it therapy, actually it is called legalized drug dealing. Methadone may be legal, but addiction is still addiction even if your current drug is Methadone given legally.
The stories of these tragic deaths will become a daily event in the media and nothing is being done to stop the rising numbers. Has greed and money finally taken over in a country that once had compassion for a human life? These are not just addicts dying but innocent mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, and too many loved ones.
Please just say NO even if your doctor offers you this drug, your life may count on it.

If he didn't learn anything from his 18 months inside maybe this judge will give him the whole 30 years and stipulate that he does it all. Otherwise someone needs to just kill him out here on the streets so our kids are safe from him.

I just want to say that Lauren Cacciato was my best friend and a good person and I am tryng hard to come be at peace with her passing. I feel a little closure knowing that Jason Wilson will take some responsibility for his part in her death and I hope that he will feel guilty for the rest of his life knowing that he was a part in her death and that he could have saved her, instead he played a role in her death. He will have to live with the fact that he was a part of taking away someone's mother, someone's daughter, someone's best friend, my best friend. Thank you to the Villa Park Police for their pursuance in this case and for getting losers like this off the streets.

Lauren was my best friend & I just think what Jason did is sick...he took away my heart & for that I will never forvige....

anyone know how i can talk with a toxicologist about methadone levels in my fathers tox report when he died? please help!

Jason is now in DuPage county Jail awaiting trial, but it wont bring Lauren back.....all he did is buy it for her, she chose to take it.....but anyone who would buy a drug addict drugs with a child to support all on her own I guess should be to blame as well......

Im lauren's sister and i think its funny heather how your saying this all now yet when everything happened you claimed you were on the phone with her all night and you had no idea how anything went down? i dont think your opinion justifies anything in my eyes.

First of all "just southern" you don't know anything about the situation. He wasn't the drug dealer in this situation. He too was an addict just like Lauren was. They were both sick at the time and would do anything to get high. And it doesn't matter how much time you do in jail....unless you get help when you get out nothing is going to stop you from getting high. He cared very much for Lauren and was helping her watch over her daughter. Lauren was a drug addict before Jason came into her life. Jason DID NOT kill Lauren. She chose to do the drugs that in the end took her life. She would of obtained the drugs whether Jason was there or not. And just to those people that are blaming Jason.....where were you when she was going through a hard time in her life? Just something to think about while you are sitting there bashing Jason for being a drug addict just like Lauren was.

I think it is wrong on everyone's part to BLAME anyone...Lauren was a grown adult who made her own choices. Everyone is making it sound like she as a coccaine addict or heroin addict and that was not the case at all. Yes Lauren made decisions that may have been bad choices but she would have NEVER done Methadone at ALL!!

Drug addicts are addicts and will do whatever it takes to get high. I think it's funny how people knew Jason was an addict, even his girlfriend, yet no one looked out for Lauren to keep her away from him. Hmmmm. If they had, maybe she would still be here!

Angie.....you don't know anything at all about the day that happened nor the months before that day occured for that matter. You were supposedly her best friend? Where were you? Jason was there to help Lauren take care of Gianna not Lauren. Jason did not shoot anybody up with anything. Maybe you should talk to other people on that block and they can tell you the truth and what really happened that night. You are putting the blame on the wrong person but Im not going to air that persons business all over this public forum. They have whats coming to them and justice will be served.

Annette....you knew Laur for what 6 months maybe before Laure died? You have no idea so you also can shut the f**k up. Jason took care of Gianna because he lived there with Lauren & Gianna so of course he took care of her and good for him...give him a fkn medal. Well, I was there for 15 years before and I watched first hand what happened to her and I'm there now, everyday taking care of those kids because they don't have anyone. I have been around drugs my whole life and I saw what it was doing to my friend and seeing that I had just witnessed an overdose I told her I couldn't go through that with her, so don't even go there. What I was responding to was the facts from the newspaper post and emphasizing what it said, trying not to blame Jason or anyone for that matter because she was a grown woman. I don't know what happened that night and I don't think anyone will ever know the truth except Lauren and the people that were with her that night. The story has changed so many times, you can't point the finger at just 1 person. They are all guilty and that is something they have to live with for the rest of their lives. Fighting about this won't bring her back. Having someone go to jail won't bring her back. I am not blaming Jason 100% that he is guilty of murder. I am blaming him for his part in her death, that's all so don't be getting all defensive because I have an opinion. I am not the one who pointed the finger at him in the first place. You are passionate about the way you feel because you love Jason, well I love Lauren and her kids and her family so I am passionate about the way I feel so it is what it is. Justice will be served by the jurors and regardless we all have to live with it.

Its never going to get to the point where there are jurors because the state doesn't want to spend the money on a trial. When I read your 1st comment this month, in my opinion and with the way I read it you were putting all blame on Jason and thats why I went off. You are right, I hardly knew Lauren. It wasn't even 6 months it was 2. I do know that she was in a very sad time in her life and was just looking for a way to get out. Im not saying suicide was her way out but constantly every day doing drugs to get her out of a normal state of mine was her way out. Thats fine if you are placing blame on his part for her death but when it comes down to it she made all the choices that day to do what she did. There is nobody to blame but Lauren. Maybe if the police did their job and actually did an investigation that day that it all went down we wouldn't be having this conversation and we would know what happen. But no, 2 years later they are coming up with new people and new stories. Im very fustrated with the whole situation just like you are. My daughter does not have a father and might not for a long time. And that pisses me off every day.

I understand where you are coming from and I am not mad at you for anything. Frustrated in general, YES but I am not upset with you. Listen, I know where your coming from, this is your boyfriend, someone you love and care about deeply who you have a child with and you of course are going to defend him & whatever role he took because ultimately you love & care for him and your daughter, I get that. First your friend dies, no one knows why, then someone is indicted for her murder and you are like ok wait a minute, someone killed my friend, so of course the original comment I made placing blame was a perfectly natural reaction and with all the continuances, and mis-info & etc the feelings get mixed once again and it's just a roller coaster of emotion so I can't apologize for what I feel at the times I felt it all I can do is apologize if I hurt your feelings. I was just expressing myself for the person I knew & loved for 15 years and I will not apologize for that. Just like you, you shouldn't have to apologize for Jason's actions. He is a grown man and he played some role that night, whatever that may be and he has to take responsibility for that role. Whatever happens, happens for a reason and your daughter will be with her dad some day and someday you can live as a happy family and put all this behind you. Lauren's kids will never have closure and I have to do whatever I can to protect them.

all of this back & fourth will get everyone no where...I was there in the end, not at that particular time & even I dont know what happened...it is sad it is tragic & coming from a mother myself who died of a drug overdose when I was 8 I know what it is like to grow up with out a mother. It doesnt matter the reason why...Lauren would hate all this back & fourth stuff. Whatever happened will never come out, placin gblame on people does nothing. Lauren was a grown woman making bad choices in life and she did what she did...period, end of story...I miss her & she was my best friend, she was a kind loving person who would do anything for anyone. I could go on and on about her but anyone who know her, knows what type of a person she was...yes it is sad that she is gone. There are days I cant believe it. it seems like yesturday we were sitting in her apartment laughing like normal, but she was a troubled soul, no arguing that. Everone has their right to grieve the way they want be angry if they want & defend who they want, but to argue and fight & bicker...Lauren would be very disspaointed for all she wanted was everone to get along...(ok she is I am sure loving a little bit of the drama) but you all get the point...Life will never be the same for all of us, but life does go on & that is the way she would want it...
