My dad was Edward (Eddie) Hurt, Jr. He was the son of Edward and Jennie Hurt and lived I believe on 5th or 6th north of Main Street. He was called the "Carmen Flash" due to his ability to run fast. He attended OBU from 1925 - 29 on a football and track scholorship. He had a brother named Arlington who later became a choirpractor in Tonkawa and OKC. Dad coached at Elk City High and Altus Jr. College before going to OBU as football and track coach in 1935. He remained at OBU till 1955. I was in Carmen two years ago and it looked about the same as when I was a kid. By any chance does anyone remember him or the family. Would be interesting to hear from you.
