The PG Unified School District could come together with the city and help fund the PG Public Library and the Youth Rec. Center.

If it is for the education of our students and children then PGUSD could get involved .

You might not know that, without depending, on Prop. 13, several years ago the voters of PG approved a generous Parcel Tax for badly needed school repairs and improvements.(Please take a look at your property tax bill, if you have one.)

$8 Million was spent on a palatial H.S. football stadium that is used for 5 home games a year. I understand that more money was spent on other pet projects that went way beyond the badly needed repairs and reasonable improvements. If they have money to spend like this then we need to talk with them.

The members of that school oversight committee could encourage a funding program with the city. Do you know who is on that oversight committee that is approving the spending? They seem very generous so please let's talk with them.

I attended Bay View Elementary as well as the first doomed New Monterey school, Hilltop Elementary. It would absolutely be a shame for the perennially mis-managed MPUSD to close Bay View and force New Monterey students to bus to other areas of the city. I hope the residents of New Monterey can stand up and let MPUSD to leave Bay View alone.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Scorpio

Something that you've always taken for granted or believed implicitly could have a big question mark hanging over it during the next few weeks. The more entrenched your views are about this, the more difficult it will be to accept that perhaps it's time for a change of opinion or, at the very least, a revaluation of what you think. Mercury turns retro in your house of communications, so do your best to be open-minded now.
