The reason Obama got elected was that he wasn't Republican and it was a bad year for Republicans.....who would vote for a party that would consider Palin a viable candidate for VP? What a ditz. So far they haven't given me a reason to vote for any of them. If they continue to focus on Obama's Christian values instead of the needs of the Nation they will lose the White House again. He must have learned from his mistake about the 57 states. Palin doesn't ever seem to learn anything. She probably can't even read a teleprompter. In 2008, the Republicans offered us nothing. They have a chance to make up for it this year.....but will they? I hope so. This nomination process ends up making all candidates look like fools. The country needs to find a better way of handling that.

The people who actually were the original Americans do not have an Native American history month. The first outsiders to come to America do not have a Spanish or Portugeuse History month and the people who brought us the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States do not have a White history month. Soooooo?

Disgusted Republican says, "So?" In reply to Tonti, the point being made is that once we legislate a period of time to honor the history of any one race or nationality, we should equalize the equation to reflect the make up of the country and devote a proportionate amount of time to each and every division.
