If you shut them down there will always be somebody to take their place. Smoking marijuana is a harmless, victimless crime that a human has his own choice of making. Some people get their kicks in life differently than other people, and somebody that smokes marijuana is no different than you. Why do you got to be so judgemental? So you do not believe in harm reduction? What would you prefer to see marijuana smokers smoke out of? Foil? Why do you honestly care so much about this head shop? It is just another person making an honest living. The owners of this shop certainly aren't on here dogging on people for no reason.

Essentially, at heart, you are a very prejudice person. Prejudiced to people for absolutely no reason, that do nothing to you, cause you no harm. I know many successful marijuana smokers, and I mean very successful. In fact, all of the people that just smoke marijuana are doing pretty good in life. And, are enjoying life without the drama that most people I know experience. You need to grow up and quit throwing hissy fits because there are people here that live much different lives than you do.

You want to gripe about them selling bongs and such to the potheads who are doing no harm to anyone. But no one Bitches about all the liquor stores and bars around here that sell liquor and beer to people who then in turn get behind the wheel and kill themselves or others.

So, what makes this law justified? I am not asking you to smoke pot, I am not asking you to even be near it, all I am asking is why do you discriminate these people as if they are scum? For NO Reason... Statistics show that prohibition DOES NOT WORK. Statistics even go further to show that legalization did lower crime rate and did lower the chance of young adults being introduced to harder drugs such as heroin or meth. Legal or not, human beings are still going to make that choice to smoke the medicine. If it were legal, we could go get our medicine from a medicine shop rather than having to go to the local drug dealer.

If people who smoke marijuana are never introduced to hard drugs they will more than likely never touch them harder drugs. In this country, we put our young youth in heavy risk. No matter what, people will always use marijuana. Remember, it is a medicine and it is not for everyone. That is why not everybody smokes it. Some people find they function better without the medicine. Often than not, how we get introduced to hard drugs is pretty simple. Go around the drug dealer who is also selling the hard drug (because to him, they are both the same because of the profit from the blackmarket since its illegal). He may push it on you to try it, he may not have your medicine so he puts peer pressure on you. If it were legal this situation would much void itself.

All I ask for you to do is accept your locals for who they are, and not for how you want to judge them. As for it being a criminal code, it is a victimless crime. And a very unjust one at that. It is always good to be legal within the law non the less, and I never suggesting to do otherwise. I would just like to see this legalization happen, because most of our young adults do not get their lives ruined from the marijuana itself, but from the law arresting them for a simple possession of the medicine, resulting in loss of college benefits and jobs.

people are imprisioned daily over this DRUG of choice. It is the LAW as I have pointed out and Desoto children are affected and pressured daily as well as children all over the world , by POT SMOKING BULLYS . I know this for a fact and so do many of other parents here. You are defending this why ? Do you smoke for whatever reasons ? fine , but it still remains against the law to have pot . Thats just the way it is accept it and go on and hope you just dont get caught.

Hey OMG! if you have a problem with this place. DONT GO THERE. Are they bothering you? harrassing you? I think not. So just dont stop there... its that easy. Good for you for abiding by the law! Thats great! Everything they do and sell is perfectly legel. There are head shops in almost every town. Get over it. Mind your own business, just dont go to these places. If they cant get it in De Soto they will jst take their happy asses to Carbondale to buy whatever it is they need. Lighten up... if everyone smoked a little pot the world would be an all around happier place to live for everyone. And you wouldnt be so hostile about something you dont know!

Hey OMG, you illusion of this whole situation you speak of is very much crooked and false infomation. If anything, you are the one sounding like a bully, wanting victims of the law imprisoned for absolutely no reason.

First of all, statistics show majority of people are on some type of drug. Whether it be sugar, or something else. Marijuana is no different. It is a medicine. It has many benefits. Why am I speaking on behalf of legalization? Because I am trying to do a favor for our economy. I am trying to lead us in the right path. Quit locking up medicinal users and let them put back into society. I do not see what they are doing wrong. I for one do not smoke pot. I can tell you I am not the only one like this in my immediate crowd of friends. We just chose not to use marijuana as it benefits our needs none. I have friends as well that do smoke marijuana and they are becoming something of themselves, getting their masters and one of them becoming a lawyer.

Look, we are supposed to make the law of the land. This law is faulty and very corrupt. Why can't we as an american citizen have the right to disagree with this law? Why don't you look into it? This plant can be used for many things besides being used as a medicine. This is where it all comes down to. Marijuana does not destroy lives at all. The law is what destroys lives. We need to end this damn monster right now and get rid of this foolish law.
