Bomb Threat

heard there was a bomb threat at the jr.high building .is it true?

heard 2 kids from lake city called it in. But that is only hear say. Would like to know myself.

I heard it was one kid and he wrote it on a wall somewhere.

the kids must be sick of going to school already

I don't care what age kid is or if they are sick of school! As a parent of a first grader in Jboro schools I would be scared to death if this happened at her school and that student should be punished!!!! Why wasn't this told to the public...poor parents to think if it would have been something more and to find out after the fact......makes it very frustrating when not being informed I am sure!!!

yes there needs to be punishment! If not another kid will think he can do the same.

My son is his age and he told me some of the other boys said they were going to kick his butt (so to speak) for making them have to go sit on that bus. I agree the kid should be punished but its not like he is a troubled child or anything, he didnt mean any harm. If he did he wouldnt have been so easy to catch. I think the Eng teacher took some papers and compared the writing and that is how they caught him.

It wasn't "public" because it seems to create a copy-cat effect. Would you honestly want false bomb threats through out the area. Made sense to me! I believe the police had the situation under control. If you go to the principal as I did I'm sure he will be willing to talk to you. The school has no reason to hide anything.

Actually the one being accused claims it wasnt him and the handwriting is a bit diferent also that same boy being accused was held down by 6 other boys so a girl could beat him with a broom stick. So where was the teacher when that happened? why was he suspended instead of the kids that assualted him? Personally I hope his parents come forward and sue. there should never be a time when a kid is held down and beaten in a classroom teachers should be there to protect all the kids.

How does it create a copy-cat effect? It compares differently to what happened in the past. Kids are kids, they should learn early that activity like that shouldn't be tolerated. And if that kid was being beat up by others, I agree they should be accountable also.

I have no desire to get into all the other gossip. I do believe in law enforcement. And my children returned home from school safely. That is all I care!

I know the definition and I try to believe in law enforcement. Some extremely tarnish their badge.

Has the other kids been questioned about this so-called incident?

the kids are in the 13 yr old range the kid accused of doing the bomb threat is 13 he is also the one who told the principle about the writing on the wall. As for the 6 boys and girl that held him down and beat him, nope, nothing was ever said to them the boy accused was suspended for 3 days came back saw the writing told principle and is now suspended for 10 days at least until the handwriting analasys comes back from state. if he did it they plan on expelling him and haveing him put in juvy for 5 yrs.

I don't think any kids beat him. I think that is all rumors.
