Try this on for size: There is a position that is opening up in finance. A Temp is being trained for that position. The position should have been posted but has not. Are sneaky Debi Lee and Nancy Klingman planning to pull the same stunt they pulled when they put Karen Bushnell in her present job? Somehow it doesn't appear legal
labor law wise, but then MS. Lee IS the head of that Zoo!

The Free Press continues to be the voice for Harlin Vincent in his quest to become Fire Chief for the Village of Ruidiso. Vincent has a business relationship with Hubbard who owns the Free Press. Vincent collects horse manure from Ruidoso Downs Race Track for a profit and therefore any conclusions made by the Free Press in relation to this matter are not only biased, but totally premature. Vincent could not be promoted into the position of Fire Chief for the Village of Ruidoso based on his own merits and career accomplishments. He has absolutely no qualifications, education, or diverse career job experiences that would permit him to compete for this job based on merit. Accordingly, he has recruited his relatives within the Village Fire Department, Village Hall and now the Free Press to insure that he will be placed in the position without competition from qualified applicants. The case of Gavin vs. the Village of Ruidoso is far from being resolved and if the Free Press wanted to be impartial and fair in its reporting of this matter, they would have contacted attorney Bob Beauvais for his legal perspective on this case or would have waited until all litigation is final before releasing any media or press on this matter. The entire matter has been both embarrassing and costly for the Village of Ruidoso and its insurance fund. Recent contradictory revelations relative to Vincent's involvement and relationship with relatives that started the White fire is an embarrassment to the City of Ruidoso and the integrity of the office of the Fire chief. Such questionable lapses in judgement and inability to manage fires, were never in question when Gavin was Chief. Gavin recently was forced to vacate his position with the City of Ruidoso due to his attempts to resolve conflict in the workplace and eliminate nepotism and corruption within the Ruidoso Fire department. Gavin is now a police office in another municipality in New Mexico and continues to work with his attorney to resolve his termination with he Village of Ruidoso. This premature reporting on this matter by the Ruidoso Free Press is not only irresponsible/reckless, but unprofessional of proves that this paper is nothing more than a voice of the Village of Ruidoso and councilman Stoddard who is a personal friend of Debbie Lee and Harlin Vincet. Officer Gavin has 40 years of superior performance ratings with multiple law enforcement agencies and fire departments and this is why he was hired as Fire Chief for the Village of Ruidoso. He no longer lives in the Village of Ruidoso; therefore the Village manager Harlin Vincent and Jim Stoddard need to bury the hatchet with regards to the further degridation of Gavin and his family. Enough by the big machine.
