Alameda County judge Paul Seeman does appear to be the kind of a judge that TeaBirchers would love! He is charged with stealing from his elderly neighbors. Paul Seeman is charged with befriending his neighbor Anne Nutting, getting power-of-attorney from Nutting and her husband, stealing at least $200,000 in art and their possessions, and barring her from her own house from 1997 to 2001 while she was living in a hotel after her husband died. Nutting died in 2010 at the age of 97.

Of course, perhaps she gets paid by the healthcare industry to post "her" propaganda on Topix?

Norton wrote: <quoted text> As usual, I think you are dreamin'! I don't have to negotiate my health insurance. I know it will be more expensive than what I have now.$10 copay huh! That will be the day!... 1. I am not dreaming. The Affordable Care Act does not provide government healthcare insurance, despite all the propaganda you have read, and believe. Most US citizens will continue to obtain their healthcare insurance from private companies, as they do now. 2. Whatever you call it, you DO negotiate your healthcare insurance. Many plans provide several levels of coverage, with corresponding levels of costs. Further, you select from an overwhelming number of healthcare insurance companies, which is a form of "negotiating," since healthcare premiums and coverages vary widely over the healthcare insurance companies. 3. I can state that, to a high degree of certainty, your healthcare insurance costs will be up by 10% or more next year, whether the Affordable Care Act stands or falls. 4. I got the "$10" figure from a close reliable friend who had discussed copay with an Israeli citizen, who was poking fun at the US system with its high copay charges. As I recall, the Israeli said "$10" copay. I could not find any articles to confirm or deny that figure. 5. Israel has maintained a system of socialized health care since its establishment in 1948, although the present National Health Insurance law was passed in 1995. There is a "health insurance tax" which must be paid for an Israeli to qualify for healthcare coverage. The quality of care is high, and perhaps accounts for Israeli citizens having the 4th highest life expectancy in the world as of 2010. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_in_I...

Since you have sited it, what was included in the sample? Allow me to help because I'm sure you won't understand it. Speeches of politicians, opinion pieces from court justices, and a plethora of studies most of which include less than 300 people all with different questions hypothesis and sample characteristics. Meta analysis are tools that can summarize what has been done and identify future directions but they mean little when they do not include best practice pieces. Thank you very much, dear, for explaining those portions of the meta analysis which I did not understand. You have to kind of work with us country boys. (Be careful, dear, or "Hermit" will dump even more research on top of you, regarding personality characteristics of conservatives. Note this is not a threat, but only a statement of fact. In the meantime, thankee very much!)

People are so gullible! 1948! Yeah, Israel became a nation. Surprisingly, to some of you.........that was a Bible prophecy! I imagine my healthcare cost will go up. Why not, everything else is! When you present research that interests me I'll take a look but these days I do not have the time to chase benign national media boasted studies that support an agenda which doesn't mean anything to me. I prefer to keep my eyes on the ball. You were the one who allegedly just read the original article, remember? And, presumably, could have recalled its location? Oh, NO! I am sure that someone who wastes as much time on Topix as you do, has to keep in mind the additional 60 hours a week you work. I give you leave to go back and keep your eyes on the ball.

I will vote for Mr. Obama.. at least he is not a crook like Romney..who learned how to be crooked from his daddy, another politican. Times are slowwly getting better, but Mr. Obama took over from a republican president, who was in office when the economy crashed. the last thing we need is another republican administration.

By Guest Blogger on May 4, 2012 at 3:00 pm Our guest blogger is Michael Linden, the Director of Tax and Budget Policy at the Center for American Progress Action Fund. As of April, there are now more private sector jobs in the United States than there were in January 2009, when President Obama took office. You read that right. We have now replaced all of the private sector jobs lost while Obama has been president. And that was no mean feat, given that over the course of 2009, the private sector shed about 4.2 million jobs. Unfortunately, the news is not nearly so good when it comes to the public sector, where there are currently 607,000 fewer people working than there were when President Obama took office. The chart below tells the whole story. Under President Obama, the private sector has experienced a relatively robust recovery, and is now back to where it started when he took office. The public sector continues to shed jobs, and as a result, the overall jobs picture in the US remains weak. If you want to understand why conservative efforts to slash funding for teachers, firefighters, cops is bad for the economy, look no further than this graph. http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2012/05/04/4...
