Teen convicted in torture slayings of Cape Coral siblings

Can someone force her to give up the child? With zero respect for human life, she doesn't deserve one. I know many families who would raise that child right as opposed to being a neglectful parent while she's in jail, and/or encouraging her child to join a gang. What a loser.

The writer of this article gives me as a reader the impression that he or she if appalled by this women’s actions and her explanation for why she did them. In my opinion she has her priorities messed up, how could she choose being cool over the safety of her child. Her actions make me sick.

Growing up on the mean streets of Cape Coral can really push youth to gang activity. I can only imagine having to resort to joining the "Sandhill Crane Blvd--Phase II" gang for protection. They have a turf war going on right now with the "Robinswood Lane" gang over a disputed golf cart.

I hope ashley Toye get's what deserves . Live in prison without the possibility of parole. Her child can be care for by someone alot classier then her, not that she ever had any class.

I hope the rest of the murders involve in this case get the death penalty it won't bring the 2 victims back but it would send a strong message to the rest of the cowardly punks outhere that would like to take someone elses life like it was eating a piece of cake. I have no pitty or mercy for this low life punks.My simpathy is only for the victims family,and a harhs punishment to this bums at least might bring a little bitof relieve to them to know that their murders have been punish.The prosecuter and the justice system have so far done a great job.

This story is printed incorrectly........the victims were not brother and sister, but cousins and they were both male.

Correction: the victims were both MALE, they were relatives to one another but they were NOT brother and sister.

Kind of makes the Orlando Sentinel look stupid if you ask me. This is huge news in SW FL and just 4 hours away they write that it was a brother and sister that were killed. No...it was a 14 year-old and his 18 year-old uncle. Shame on you, Orlando Sentinel. What a dumb mistake.

I think Ashley should have not got charged with what she got. I do believe everything she said about Kemar because i know all of them very well and he did put his hands on her. I hope that she can get an appeal and get a lesser charge because the cops got a statement from her without her parents present and she was under age and they are not aloud to do that. Whoever wished that she may not be able to hold her child i hoped god convicts your heart. Iam not saying what they did was right but god will deal with them. I give my condolence to all the family's and friends and i am praying for everyone for doing it and for the familys. May god be with all of you and jesus loves you.

I must agree with whatever, if she was really living in fear of this guy, there are ways to get out of that relationship. I have been through it. There is a womens abuse shelter in Ft Myers she could have stayed at. She was just trying to be "cool" if being cool means mutilating and torturing another human being, I would much rather be the dorky outcast. She doesnt deserve to procreate. I hope that her child never knows who that wicked wicked little girl is. Basically, I HOPE THEY ALL FRY!
