My question is, why would anyone go to the deck?

Very good question.
It was only because Iguana Mia was packed full that night. We were also greeted by a German roach on the inside bar that evening. Wifey was not pleased.
The Dek - never again!

I've been there plenty of times, the whole area has gone a tad downhill in the past couple of years. We like barhopping up there a couple times a year the thing is we usually onlt hit about three places before we settle in having fun with someone. This year I'm going the full gambit with or without a group.

Usually I take a cab though that way I don't have to worry about parking. We walkm to all the different bars. I also don't have to worry about some DUI bullshit. Just because some people have a hard time driving drunk they think everyone does. What a bullshit law that is.

Wow glad to see you you atleast dont drink and drive...
I think its a good law, perhaps cause i almost got killed by a drunk driver. Or because i know someone that has died due to a drunk driver behind the wheel. Just hope you dont get the judge who's daughter died due to a dui driver here in lee county, if anyone decides its a bullshit law and take the risk of getting caught or taking someones life.
On the other hand the dek does suck, music is way to loud for such a open small place. Bartenders are'nt bad, they just cant hear you. I for one drink at home, i dont have to go anywhere to get home so to speak, and its kind of cheaper. Im not much of a drinker anyways. Lets not forget the grill is at home...Nothing beats a nice steak and beer at home. Specially not some loud undersized bar. Oh dont take your bike there either, a cop might mow it down!
Getting towed sucks, ive been towed once. Though i got mine back for free after it was all said and done. I think all tow trucks should only be allowed to tow cars that are broke down or in need of a tow, not because you park in a parking lot to go have a beer..sorry to hear your luck. Remember to read signs. Im sure there was a tow away zone sign where you had parked...doh

Yes, there was a tow away sign. I blatently ignored it assuming it would be no problem at 6:30 at night (obviously after business hours of the office building where I parked). Never again! We rarely go out for a drink also.

Never again! We rarely go out for a drink also. If you blatantly ignored it, then there's no one to blame but yourself. A tow away zone isn't just during business hours. That business is saying that they don't want other cars parking near their building, period. We used to own an art gallery up north that was located next to a bar. We have found condoms, broken glass, beer cans/bottles, vomit, panties and an assortment of other things left behind by drunks parked on our private property. Every Saturday and Sunday morning were especially dreadful to have to clean up the parking lot as not to offend our customers. Yes, that building does own the parking spaces as well.

Yea if you seen the sign yet failed to obey, its kind of your own fault. Youd been better off parking on a side walk then their. Unless of course a boss man roles by and decides he doesnt like your parking job. But if you do it in front of the bar or behind on the side of the "dek" you coulda pulled it off. Non the less doesnt the dek have a big feild behind it or gravel parking lot, ive been their once before it was a pain in the ass to find a parking spot so i see your situation.
So how much did it set you back , tow cost that is?
Hasnt the state of florida, or maybe it was collier county that enacted a law that tow yards can only charge so much per tow, not to exceed like 75 or 100$ cause of tow companys charging way to much to begin with? maybe im mistaken. Just hope you didnt get shafted which we all know you did....poor guy

Retail isn’t a job it’s a necessity and your customers are sub human and never right. Nobody of any even moderate intelligence cares about a minor misspelling on topix. Anyone that comments or berates another because of a type O really has life. To ere is human. Be human and rock!!
