Itís simple, go to post #27 of this thread see the link and then click and read. Youíre arguing yourself in circles without fully understanding the topic or project scope. Whether you agree or disagree is not meaningful to me. The reason I began weighing in on this topic was to spread facts (noted also in #27) because I know many people are formulating their opinions from what someone else that does not have the facts tells them about it. Not to say that all your claimed facts arenít true here, but when you do actually present some knowledge you then try to support it with nonfactual information. You question my credibility because you donít know what I know...by the way, this is the second post where you have claimed I made a statement then changed the context of my words so to spin them in favor of your personal argument. There is some very easy to find information on the Hwy 16 project. I encourage researching the material thatís availableÖ.for the facts. Start with #27 then go to Caltransí web page and enter a search for Hwy 16.

I addressed your arguments, and I was very clear in my responses. And yes I still question your credibility as you are unable to support your arguments and fall back on the Caltrans report. I simply put to the table a host of reasons why the widening should not happen, and there good reasons. I reasons I mentioned are valid but they can be disputed by others who simply are not effected by the widening. peoples lives will change in a negitive way because of the widening and thats a fact! People such as your self read something on paper and support it because an unbias report said that the widening was needed. What it sounds like to me is you know what you know because you because you read ( The word "Read" can be a pre/past tense by the way) it on the report, but you have no first hand knowledge of the adverse effects.Ignorance must be bliss.

As a non-valley resident it is easy for you to speak this way. As a valley resident for over 44 years I have to say the road improvement is a disenchantment. Taking property, crops, security, the peaceful way of lifefrom the residence to expand the road at that capacity is unacceptable. I have read the 'unbias' report Cal-Tran and cannot believe that anyone would agree with this. The Capay Valley is the last prestine area of Northern California. We should protect the beauty and serentity of our lifestyle. I am in support of the recent lawsuit that the coalition has started and to sue Cal-Trans. Clearly you are unaware of all the facts and lack of a proper EIR to protect our environment.

MINOR CONCERN? The number of deaths on 2 lane Highway 16 in Capay Valley, which is astounding--of both casino patrons and, especially, residents, who have no choice of if they want to travel that road or not...My 83 year old mother nearly getting wiped out on that road for years with near misses from the crazy drivers and dangerous, far too heavy traffic for that country road; is a minor concern? No, it has never been a minor concern and it was unconscionable of the casino to build a facility bringing that much traffic and wrecks, without building a safe route to it in the beginning.
