My God Parents live at 16030 Live Oak Springs Rd. Can anyone tell me if that area is safe? Thank You
I just met with a customer of mine that lives on Live Oak Springs. They say their house is fine but that they can see the fire off in the distance. The fire is West / Northwest of them and moving a different direction.

What is the news on the new fire in Westbridge / Stevenson Ranch near Magic Mountain. My wife can see if from our house and is worried it will jump over the 5 freeway and head towards College of the Canyons.

My daughter evacuated and has no idea if her house has burned. Does anyone know about the houses in Canyon View Estates?? They are Camp Plenty and Calle. Close to Sierra Vista Junior High School The front of her subdivison is along the LA River basin. The flames came over the hill and down toward her house. She can't get back in.
Thanks

What's up with the Houston TV news channels? Half of Southern California is on fire and they devote 1 or 2 minutes of the nightly news to it? We watched HOURS of coverage on Katrina...and really felt terrible for the people when I lived in Santa Clarita, CA. SO CAL fire is also a tragedy of epic proportions. There just might be some of us that would like more in-depth coverage.

I'd like to know more about the bigger fire, you know the one that makes up 30% of the total fires in California right now? What is wrong with the media's Malibu obsession? There are more homes and the fire is 10 times the size in Canyon Country.
Tell me about it...I used to live in Santa Clarita...guess they just don't have as many movie stars in SCV.I'm trying to find out about Plum Canyon...last I heard (about 3 hours ago), there was a mandatory evac.

from what I know the fire back there is smoldering....many people are on the hills putting out the hot spots. When I talked to my mom she said they are out of harms way of the flames but are still taking precautions because of the embers...there weren't any homes lost I know many people stayed and used their hoses and the fires came closer.
Whoa...way to close for comfort...but I'm relieved to know the houses are still there. Thanks...you've been so sweet and responsive!

I have friends that live on Goodvale Rd on the hill off of Camp PLenty, another in that same area on Fairweather St (just off Whites Canyon), and another in Sand Canyon Ranch Apartments. I have not been able to reach any of them by phone or email since yesterday early afternoon. Can anyone tell me the status of those areas?

Its absolutely rediculous how little media coverage there is on this area

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Cancer

With Mars and Saturn working in harmony, you'll find the support you need through friends or associates. Someone pitches in to help which will let you take a concrete step towards achieving your goals. There could however be a cost in terms of your emotional and domestic life because of what you're doing. Has responsibility taken you away from those you're close to? Try to make things up in another way.
