Clyde's has had great food since the 1960s when I first went there. It is still the same layout it was back then. Great place.

I guess we have gone there at the wrong times! The bread has been moldy & coffee very old. The meat tasted & looked bad.

I've been a few times and found the staff to be unprofessional and the food unappetizing.

I believe the original owners sold the restaurant several years ago. I've heard it has not been the same since Clyde & Mary Lou left.

Clyde's is still owned by the same family, just ask to speak to Mr. Green (there are two). They have made a few things better, but for the most part it is the same as in the 50's. Clyde's is closed on Monday but are wide open and full Tuesday - Sunday. If they were not still one of the best, they would be long gone.

last time I ate there, the waitress brought our drinks ten minutes into the meal. She brought cold, hard dinner rolls and actually dropped the basket onto the table as she passed by at breakneak speed, and never came back to the table to refill our drinks or to ask if we needed anything else. The food was hot on the outside and icy on the inside, the lettuce had brown edges and the tomatoes were slimy. She sat at the end of the counter drinking a cup of coffee while chatting with other wait-staff that were ignoring their customers as well.I will never eat there again.

Yes, I agree about how poor the food & service is. Not to mention that when you walk in the door the bathroom is right there before you get into the restaurant & the bathroom reeks enough to make you ill. Not a good introduction to walking into a restaurant.
I heard some one mention Duvalls also, the food bread for the sandwiches & burgers were moldy & the meat rotten. I guess the only place to report these to is the Health Department. We have never had good experiences at either restaurants with any food & have gotten ill. Needless to say we will never go back.
