Well, lets see here now..You are calling all of us defenders low life even though you don't know us.Have you ever bothered to get to know his family or any of the friends of the family or is it just an assumption like some of the other stuff is on here? He had custody of one of his own children and stayed in touch with the other one. Nobody said the family was in the lawsuit for the money. They couldn't care less about the money. If they cared about that then it would have went to trial by now because there is a two year limit but they aren't going for money, believe it or not... They work!!!! Nobody said Dale was a saint by no means. We all know he was into some stuff he definitely shouldn't have been but that doesn't warrant anyone having the right to take the trial into their own hands. Very few if any are ever framed when they go to prison, get real. There are so many cases of innocent people being released because DNA has proven them innocent. Google "The Innocence Project" and you'll see for yourself. That's just one organization that helps the innocent. His family asked the boys if they wanted them to pursue the lawsuit and they said absolutely so guess what, the kids rule over the public preference. The battle between the ones that are glad he's dead verses the ones that love him will never ever be settled obviously and I'm wondering why everyone that is so glad he's gone is still two years later worried about his case makes me wonder just how many think he just may have been innocent themselves otherwise none of you would be on here worrying about a so called low life loser and his so called low life family otherwise. Everyone on here would go on with their perfect, never done any kind of wrong lives so Why are you on here?? Bet Nobodies family on here is as perfect as they are making out to be. Bet you'd even find that some have family members in prison themselves. Do I have family members in jail or prison, No I don't, no I've never been arrested myself. I work every day,have raised my children, have a fine family life, how about you? Are you and yours such a perfect little family, bet not.

April was definately at fault and should have gotten more time but poor Dale, he was innocent right? Poor Dale-look at past posts-railroaded in Cobb County and damn, in Cherokee County also-Those damn corrupt police-Dale was such a poor victim? How pathetic it is, to defend a child killer by blaming everyone else-Please inform us when this lawsuit goes to court-who is the attorney? When will all this secret, explosive evidence come out? How much longer must we wait?

Oh by the way-"Justice for Dale means injustice for Sebastian" So what you are saying is that Sebastian really wasnt murdered but died naturally right? And if thats the case, then April was falsely accused yet you have no problem with that do you? She got what she deserved and Dale sure as hell was going to get what he deserved!! Too bad he wasnt man enough to face what he had done and all he left his family was shame and disgrace-one could say, after reading all these posts and listening to some trying to defend Dale is this-the apple doesnt fall to far from the tree

By the way, if he was such a great man and wonderful father, why wasn't Dale spending more time raising his own kids rather than moving in with April and "raising" her special needs child, Sebastian? I'm sure everyone on posting on here knows the reason why Richter had custody of his youngest son, and where the mother was that caused her to not be able to care for her child, and especially what happened the night of Sebastian's murder. I'm NOT sure what kind of a lawyer would take on a case where that would expose his clients to much more humiliation and hatred than they have experienced so far, you can see what happened with Casey Anthony's family, yet you're letting CHILDREN make that decision? The fact that these children are being taught never to contact police for any reason is chilling, you are robbing those same children of any chance to lead a normal life - and for what? Who will benefit? You can't even hold your temper, manage a rational discussion, or even present a logical argument supporting your case on a lousy message board - what makes you think you can hold it together in a court? Present a fact and defend it with facts - leave your opinions and emotions out of it and your argument may carry more weight.

1. Are you saying Dale was framed for kidnapping in Cobb County?
2. Are you saying Sebastian really wasnt murdered but died accidently(why so many different stories of what happened that night by Dale)
3. The grandmother, police, coroner and d.a. all railroaded Dale?
4. Dale didnt commit suicide but actually murdered in jail? By who? If its based on fact, why hasnt person been arrested?
5. If April got what she deserved, how can u agree with her arrest and sentence, but at the same time say Dale was framed?

How about throwing your emotions aside and answer these questions with some intellectual honesty-Can you?

Enough said... If you want emotions out of it then there is nothing more to say in here because every single person in here is going on emotions. Otherwise you wouldn't be here so....Stick to your emotional beliefs and I'll do the same and I honestly am out of here and don't much care who thinks I'm a coward or whatever. The difference between you and I, friend always, is that I dont allow my emotions to cloud my judgement-Dont take my word for it-Check out all posts written on here by people who try and defend Dale-I guess since Dale did not confess, there was no eyewitness, and since the police are corrupt, then Dale is innocent right? And Sebastian died naturally but April not Dale is guilty as hell, right? That is what you believe right? I dont think your a coward-but its pathetic and downright disgusting how you are trying to make Dale out to be some kind of martyr out of the murder of Sebastian-Sebastian was murdered!!! How bizarre it is to not believe concrete evidence-autopsy report-yet believe the words of a man, who wasnt known for his honesty and facing the death penalty-Incredulous!! One could argue, based on the comments on here, that nothing was ever Dales fault, who was always setup and railroaded-Did his "family" always enable him up to Sebastians death? Did the family enable him to the point they were too blind of the destruction he was causing? Below I have listed the facts as I know them - these facts are based on GBI reports and autopsies - please feel free to agree or dispute them, but "I know he could never do that" is NOT a valid argument:

Sebastian was suffocated with such force that his upper lip was torn from his gums, he was held down so forcefully that a bruise from a toy that was found on the bed was imprinted onto his back. His arm was re-broken. He had 11 broken ribs that occurred between the breaking of his leg and the breaking of his arm. He was wet as the blood had been washed off him in a bathtub. Injuries this severe could not possibly have been caused by "getting his arm tangled in a sling", an animal coming through the window (the screen was NOT cut in the crime scene photos, Richter did that afterward, unfortunately for him he cut it from the inside instead of the outside). The gatekeeper logged him entering the complex where he lived shortly before he went in for a police interview where he insisted the screen had been cut the night of the murder. Investigators were sent to the home to check this out while he was being interviewed, there it was discovered that the screen had been cut from the wrong side, and there was no damage to the shrubbery surrounding the window, which would indicate an intruder.
Richter's ligature marks from hanging himself were angled, which indicates a suicide, rather than straight across, which would indicate a strangulation. He placed the bowls of four plastic spoons under the legs of his cot, so that he could kick the bed away from under him. He was in a medical cell because it is a well documented fact that child killers are at a great risk from other inmates. He spoke to his own mother about still being able to go to heaven if he committed suicide, and to prison guards that he was able to make himself "disappear". He had a prior arrest 7 months before the murder for kidnapping and assault, which he performed in the presence of his nine year old son. His delay in trial was due to the fact that he hired an attorney who quit the case when he couldn't pay, received a public defender, and then had to get a different type of public defender when the DA went for the death penalty, oh and his attorneys also claimed that their office was broken into and all the evidence relating to the case was stolen, so that had to all be recopied.

This is only a very,very small part of the evidence that would be presented in any kind of a trial - can you imagine what an jury would think of that evidence? So tell me, did the DA, GBI, Medical Examiners, and Cherokee county police dpt. and jail employees all lie and file false reports?
If you have an attorney who believes he can disprove all that evidence, he must be on meth too!

The family might want to reconsider suing the Cherokee County Jail-After all, when all evidence is laid out in court, and a jury hears ridiculous claims of deputies who kill inmates, they hear exactly what kind of monster Dale had become, the jury just might make the family pay for such a frivolous outrageous lawsuit and sue you for wasting their time over a sadistic child killer!!!

My OPINION on this, after reading for years the posts of Richter's friends and families, I do believe that for the majority of his life he was a good person. However, that has no bearing on what he was in 2004 - Just as Nowak had people testify in her behalf that didn't even KNOW her before Sebastian's death. If the family is paying for a lawyer, as this one person claims, I have no doubt they are being taken to the cleaners. I will acknowledge that yes, it does happen that deputies DO commit crimes, yes it does happen that government is corrupt, you can find a million websites to support those facts, but this was not the case here. Richter's family needs to acknowledge what meth is capable of doing to a person, there are a million websites on that also. Please do Richter's children the one favor of telling them to seek help from the police if they need it - you may save their lives one day by doing so!

Its just really sad that the family of Dale could really reach alot of people with their experience in dealing with someone on meth, to take that path and theres no telling how many people they could connect to, and truly help-instead, all they want to do is blame the police for Dales actions and only God knows what they have fed Dales children-A vicious cycle could have been broken, instead the potential for it to continue is very possible-A continual tragedy

anyone hear how April is doing now that she has gotten out of jail? How is she? Is she getting back on her feet? Is she living with her parents in Woodstock? I hops she's rebuilding her life and moving forward. I am sure it has been a long 5 years, I couldn't imagine.

Disapointed that Cherokee County Prosecutor did not seek the same sentence in the case of April Nowak, her concealment of the cause of Sebastian's injuries should have also netted her 95 years of rotting in jail.

<GA. November 16, 2009- An inmate at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center that apparently attempted to commit suicide remains on life support at Atlanta Medical Center. Shortly after 8pm Saturday night, a deputy found James Silva, 43 years old of Woodstock, hanging from a piece of cloth attached to his bed. The deputy was able to get Silva, who showed no signs of life, to the floor and began CPR. Silva was transported to Northside Cherokee Hospital and then to Atlanta Medical Center.>

Silva has been in-custody since June 6, 2009 charged with Aggravated Battery FVA, Battery FVA, and Cruelty to Children FVA following a domestic dispute with his wife. Silva was also being held with no bond due to a Probation Violation Warrant.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, at the request of the sheriff’s office, is investigating the incident.

Dale had turned into a meth head and he did abuse Sebastian. People do stuff they normally wouldn't do when they are high. Everyone wants to come on here and defend Dale. WE still don't know what happened in that jail cell and Dale did not deserve to die in there. Dale was a great guy but got into meth and it turned him into someone else while he was high. I hate to see that he chose that road from when he was working out and enjoying life. Meth changes people! I wish he would of had the chance to turn his life around. Defend Dale and RIP Dale but let's think about sweet Sebastian who had autism! Now Sebastian is in God's hands.
