Fire death at Lake Arrowhead

Am I the only one who has suspicions about the tragic death of Whittany Callahan?Why could everyone else in that condo get out alive and Whitney could not be woke up!Who jumps out of a 3 story burning building before a 6yr old?What if she didnt jump?My God, her mother laid there and she knew her mother would not be following her.Do the right thing and tell the truth.Those of you who know about the abuse need to come forward.Pay attention,the truth does not change.There was a fight the day of the fire,someone heard something.

You are not the only one that has questions, in fact everyone I know thinks the situation is suspicious or at the least questionable. The people who have information who have not come forward should do so out of respect and love for Whitney. You know who you are. How can you live with yourself if you don't do something?

I live out here and I'm just baffled!....some of us others have thought the same thing...I'm glad someone is thinking about this out there.......but also we dont always know how one would react in a moments notice where danger occurs.....IDK...it still baffles me!so, I'm guessing you think there was foul play with a cover-up?

I too believe that people who know about the abuse should come forward. Has anyone ever seen the police there on previous occassions? Did the mother tell her closest friends? How could you not do something to get your wife out of the burning house? How could you jump out of a window to a lower level and expect a 6 yr old to jump after you?

keep in mind when someone is in an abusive relationship they keep it from ppl out of embarassment and fear of more abuse....they dont always know how to get out...and even if she did tell her friends, her friends cant make her leave the situation...she has to want to....I think those neighbors know something....

No,doubt people that are in abusive relationships live their lives shrouded in doubt,shame,great fear and secrecy.
I think you hit the nail on the head though by saying that the neighbors have to know something. Maybe they aren't coming forward because they have a deep sense of guilt or ashamedness for not intervening at some point during one David,s earlier assauts on Whitney or because they feel like they would be harshly judged for not doing so early on in the investigation. If that is the case,their guilt will haunt them for the rest of their lives and only the truth can set them free. I wish there was some way to contact them and tell them that they need to come forward for the sake of Isabella. She has been robbed of the most important need in her life. Her mother.
What a grave unjustice. We cannot just sit back and let this happen.

Does anyone know if the investigators have even talked to the neighbors? Does anyone know how to contact the neighbors especially since they have probably had to move somewhere else since their condos are burnt as well. I know it's hard to get a friend or loved one out of a dangerous relationship but we all know there are red flags and I'm sure a lot of people have seen them.

The most important thing in this situation is that if you have ANY information about their relationship or his behavior it would be helpful to the investigation. Call the police, do not waste another minute. If you feel guilty then that's your problem, not Whitney's, swallow your guilt, your fear, etc. and go forward. It will help you sleep at night. And think about this, they wouldn't still have her body, if they didn't have suspicions. Think about that.

Reading these posts is slightly perturbing because of the anonymity of everyone, but I feel the need to reply anyway.
Simple Server- I imagine you knew Whitney more than you are letting on? And more likely you know David just as well, if not better? You mentioned the 3rd story jump, but it was really a one floor drop, from the 2nd floor window to the 1st floor back deck. Hell Whitney was 6' tall. He could have hung her out the window and dropped her and she would have maybe broken an ankle. You're right that it doesn't make sense that Whitney couldn't wake up.
If I had to take a guess, it would be that you work/ed with them at RL. I bet that is a really uncomfortable place to be right now, but please let me assure you that you are NOT the only one thinking these thoughts. It is incredibly difficult to imagine that someone you know may be capable of something like this. It just doesn't seem like there is any other logical explanation.

I beg your pardon but it is ABSOLUTELY every one of ours business,as citizens of this country to be involved in the safty and welfare of each other . Whether it be our closest neihbors or our homeland. It is when we don't that the ploblems start, continue and escalate into the horrific tragedies that they have here. We who look the other way have to take some personal responsibility for them.
I am watching out for my neihbors,my friends and my family. I am watching out for those who cannot or could not defend themselves. As long as there are preditors among us we it is our God given right and our responsibility to watch out for each other but good.

There are NOT thousands of reasons why she didn't wake up. Not sure what tylanol is, but Tylenol P.M. does not make you sleep through a fucking fire. What a ridiculous statement.

And dear Wow! Think about these things:
Maybe she said "I love you" every time to reassure a very insecure, controlling, and abusive person. Have you ever seen any bruises, black eyes, etc.? Which were attached to an excuse of "I fell", I bruise so easily", etc.
There are people who have witnessed these things or been told about them. And as far as marrying him, I too agree that abused women do that all the time. I'll bet you are a man, one who only sees the surface or what he wants to see. But they were not EVER legally married, were they. Hmmmm I wonder why.

No that is not Isabellas dad.He does have children that he does not see and it is not Isabella.FYI....good friend,she was being abused,he screaned her calls,made decisions about EVERYTHING.People marry assholes everyday,that is why there are divorces moron.I have taken tylenol P.M. and plenty of other things.Thank God we have people who are not afraid to question things.If he is innocent then he has nothing to worry about.Know this...we are not going away!!!!!!
