Come on--- it can't be that hard! The town needs to help too!! Powder Ridge has the potential of being a great investment. Middlefield should have seen this coming years ago- we all did!!!
It needs to handled and managed the right way- Again, it can be GREAT!!

Congradulations, Middlefield! Another massive waste of taxpayers money on attorney fees that has yielded nothing. Reminds me of a child's poem:

There's a lot to be said for maintaining open space. If the town lets that parcel go to private developers, it we sprout homes or businesses and it will ner be open space again. Middlefield should buy it at any reasonable price. In the long run, the land will be much, much more valuable.

The town of Middlefield (or any any other government body, local, state or federal) has absolutely no business buying or owning property of any kind. Goverment lackys and incompetant beaurocrats are worming their way into every aspect of our lives and picking our pockets without recourse. Powder ridge must stay in private hands, and let the market do what the consumers demand it does. If stupid morons think McMansions will make them happy, let them learn a hard lesson.

Powder Ridge sucks and always has. This was the best thing that can happen. I hope they build houses or something so the Ridge no longer has a chance. The Town of Middlefield sucks too. Glad I don't live there.

Who cares about the "Ridge" The ski area sucked and it was never maintained. The reason why it closed is because it totally sucked. Not a great place for skiing anyway, just a place to party at night. Leave it as open space and we can all enjoy it.

the ridge man is my wife and she is writing this because she gets mad that i lived in middlefield , which i was born and raised here.my wife was born in east haven were all the guidos live and the girls with high hair hahahahahaha.they speak a language all there own,only if your a dago from east haven ,you will not understand them.i am embarrased to say that i know these greasy hairy people.

....and i am the wife of "buy powder ridge" who is so stuck in Middlefield and totally concerned what happens there. His life growing up was filled with stupid drunks and redneck farmers sitting around looking at tractors. Yea, they got far in life. And yes, the Rockfallers and Middlefielders do speak a language of their own as well and here are a few examples....No one doesn't go there no more...i didn't eat nothin all day......No it ain't.......
