If I were Mr Procter I would of put 6 357 wad cutters in Mr Schwab's chest as soon as he enter my house with a shot gun. It's appearent that Mr Schwab intended to kill Mr. Proctor so it would justifiable homocide to protect himself.

Because he was probably still DRUNK when the police made contact with him. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed!

Why wasn't Schwab also charged with Burglary (breaking into structure to commit a crime), Criminal Trespass (unlawful entry into a structure) and Firing into an occupied structure (self explanatory)? All three of those are felonies and would guarantee a guilty plea to something.

This is a very serious incident. The guy is getting off easy.

He should be charged with attempted murder or attempted manslaughter. Two shots went in the air in a threatening manner. This gets you aggravated assualt. But shooting the wall behind your target (in other words, shooting at but missing) should get you alot more.

Perhaps the poster is a member of the SM community - as I am. Mr. Wagaman's continuted scorn for his own safety and the safety of others in his community is evidenced by his CONSTANT consumption of alcohol while driving. I witness him speeding, burning his tires and erratic driving habits on a daily basis. He has also forced me to the side of the road on more than one occassion due to him swerving from lane to lane. I expect many of his neighbors will attend his funeral in the near future. Hopefully, he won't injure or kill any one other than himself. The community is aware - and watching. Too bad his parents aren't.

Reading the papers each day, I am amazed that such a conservative county has a court system that is a revolving door for these and even more serious offenses.

well hippie chick earth mother let me tell you something if he has done this to you and you know the things he does you must be just as bad as him for allowing him to do these kind of things and not calling the proper authorities about it. so if you are that concerned and people are watching him then obviously they aren't to concerned for there safety or he would be in alot more trouble.something else his parents are aware of what he does and he is also 21 he is an adult !!!! what will you do if you have children and they do bad things and get caught?give them a hug and tell them everything will be ok cause mommy's here!!!! don't judge other parents until you walk in there shoes!!!!! that's the problem with most of s.mt. everybody has to be in everyone elses business!!!! sweep your own dirt before you sweep someone elses!!!

South Mountain Gazette - Please feel free to tell me anything you wish, but please, use correct English and use your computer's spell check feature prior to posting. Uneducated folks such as yourself are one of the reasons South Mountain a has bad name. As for young Mr. Wagaman, he and many of the other idiot-drivers HAVE been reported, why do you think the State Police have been spending so much time lurking in driveways and patrolling the area in recent months? As for how I raise my children, I've done a very good job, thank you. None of my children (adult children included) have ever been in any type of trouble for which the police would have had to concern themselves with. I do not judge anyone's parenting skills, but it's obvious to anyone who KNOWS this particular branch of the Wagaman family that they DO NOT police their own children, not now, and not when young Gregory was a minor. As a citizen of South Mountain, it IS MY BUSINESS when drivers endanger the lives of my friends, family and neighbors. Too bad YOU obviously do not have the same concern for YOUR friends, family and neighbors. Stop trolling for heaven's sake, it just embarasses yourself.

Oh, let me guess you and your family are just pillars of the community!!!!!!I guess you have never done anything wrong or do we not know your dirty laundry!!!!!! I myself have called the police about the Idiot Drivers several times before and nothing was ever done. So quit calling the police and wasting there time about people spinning tires and allow them to work on more important issues!!!!!So stop embarassing yourself by putting down the WAGAMAN family it only shows what kind of person you really are!!!!!

Young Gregory is a very unfortunate person who made a mistake just like we all have and he will pay his dues for what he has done. He is not the first person to drink and drive and have an accident and he certainly will not be the last!!!!!!!!As we all know many people leave a bar impaired and still drive knowing it is wrong but that is life so deal with it. I am a friend of Greg and his family and I will continue to be a friend because they are a great bunch of people.Maybe you should take the time to get to know them instead of being so judgemental.

My goodness, why the venom? I never said my family was perfect, however we do not drink, drive and then damage our neighbors property - that's just stupid. Also, I DO know ALL the folks in the Wagaman home, and have only stated the truth and have NOT put the family down. Why should I stop calling the police for excessive, constant speeders and tire-spinners? Your said yourself, you do it, and a few of my neighbors do it on a regular basis also. Why would you want yourself, family and neighbors endangered needlessly? We've also contacted them for more "important" crimes, like fire-setting in the woods, late-night "visitors" causing damage to our property and un-supervised teen-agers breaking into our garage. Why you insist on attempting to antagonize me, a member of YOUR beautiful community, amazes me. Don't we mountain folk have enough perception problems with the "townies" without fighting amoung ourselves? I would think you'd like the roads to be safe for our young ones to walk and ride their bikes on again without fear of being hit by a idiot-driver. Haven't we lost enough of our young to drinking/drugging/car accidents/all-terrain vehicle accidents? Have you already forgotten the sight of the young girl, dead, laying on the side of the road because of a drunk early-morning driver? As for embarrasing myself, not gonna happen. Education is a WONDERFUL thing. Maybe you should get some.

I do know them - I NEVER said they were BAD, EVERYBODY makes mistakes, and hopefully Greg will learn a valuable lesson from his, as I hope his parents do. He's a very lucky young man to have been able to walk away from that accident. Many of our young have not been so lucky. We've buried more children and young folk on that mountain than I care to think about. I'm sure the drunk-driver that killed the little girl on S.Mt. road a few years ago was a "great person" too, until he (1) drove drunk (2) had an accident, and (3) KILLED an innocent little girl and left her body by the side of the road, like a dead possum. Greg did #1 and #2. By the grace of God #3 didn't happen - and I hope it never does. But there is only ONE WAY to ensure that doesn't happen on our hill again, DON'T DRIVE DRUNK!

You're capable of making some very constructive and important decisions today, particularly where your relations with certain people are concerned. If you're fed up with the way someone has been treating you, you might now decide that the worm is about to turn and you're going to be much firmer about what you're prepared to put up with and what you won't tolerate.
