these people are idiots and their children paid the price for it. They should be charged with negligent homicide. Okay, so the child is over 14 and can make his own medical decisions, but that doesn't mean that the parents can't tell the child to get treatment. It makes me sick how these religious people think.

I wouldn't say they're "idiots" per se, though, merely misinformed and in denial... I appreciate the fact that they have such confidence in their own faith, but when that comes in the way of health it's obviously gone too far. particularly when it refers to the health of their own children.

Prayers are supposed to give wisdom, hope and courage. We must be careful with what we believe in, so we can make a correct judgment to create a meaningful life. This incident allows me to reflect in my daily judgment as well, and my friends constantly advise me for my stupid mistakes. Therefore, a good crowd of friends is also important.

If that boy had announced that there was a demon in his head, and he had to shoot it, he would have been declared mentally incompetent and whisked off to a hospital. How is this different?

I guess people like this never consider that maybe God long ago answered some "heal me, please" prayers by sending medical knowledge that could...wow...heal them. Such a needless waste.

The problem with people these days is that they think that if they pray to some guy to get better. If they die the excuse they would use is that "I guess it was my time to go," then what the hell is the point of praying for?

Praying doesn't do anything and research has proven it.

How vile a belief that puts into mortal peril the lives of children.

It is amazing how quickly you are ready to judge. Respect a life ... instead of having pathetic little knee-jerk seeming common sense reactions. We are more than biological machines that must be kept running at all costs. A "boy" at 15 is and can be a man. Ghandi was a father at 15. He can and should reject your reductionist biologism. Better to die a free man than to live enslaved to your system of hot dogs, supervaccines, and virulent ideologies. It is either the insults of the pseudo-liberals or the rage of radical right. What has this country become?

People can be so stupid.I wish children were not so easily programed to believe nonsense.I hope more religious nut jobs do not seek medical attention. I wish they would not teach it to children.Jesus camp is finally showing results in dramatically reinforcing the idea that all one needs to do is pray and demonize those who disagree.

Good. One less religious nutbag in the world. Why couldn't more of these wackos decide that prayer is a better way to treat disease?

This is all good news! So, children carrying the gene for "gullibility and dangerous belief in non existant supernatural beings" are dying off either by their own hand or that of their parents. Net result - this gene is not being perpetuated, it may one day die out completely, the average IQ of the human race has risen ever so slightly and I get the shameful pleasure of seeing these idiots nad their offspring getting what they deserve.

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Pisces

Try to improve your health by incorporating good habits into your daily routine; if you sit at a desk all day long, find ways to stretch your muscles while you are seated. Since the December holidays are almost upon us, it is a good idea to increase your consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables. Before you know it, you will be tempted to eat nothing but rich, fat-laden foods; set some good habits now before you no longer fit into your holiday outfits.
