This should be a nationally observed holiday with all honor and respect for our Veterans. They deserve all our thanks!

I agree. We certainly have national holidays for much lesser reasons.

absolutely right. i wish that veterans day would get the coverage that martin luther king day does. but it never will. too many would be "offended"...isnt that too bad? if it werent for the veterans, that so called holiday wouldnt even exist

You a vet and that is the post you want to make today! No wonder we get so little respect!

I think only veterans should have the day off.
Thanks vets.
I remember when i was a child this was a day we acknowledged by going to the cemetery and giving our respect to the veterans who lay at rest.
Now it has become just another day for a party and a paid day off.

Even though I do have to work today and cannot attend any ceremonies that are going on, I just want all of our Veterans and currently serving military to know that I am honored to have them fight for me as an American. What you do/have done is a totally selfless act. I wish it got more recognition than it currently does.

There's little doubt about who's the life and soul of the party today, because it's you! You're in a really good mood and you're keen to make sure that everyone has a wonderful day. It looks as though things won't go entirely according to plan, but you'll manage to take all the unexpected developments in your stride and even to turn them to your advantage.
