They are probably talking about Trudy Hartley. I don't know why anyone would think she was snooty though! She is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. I believe she and most of her family would give the shirt right off their backs to help someone out. Maybe they take the fact that she is quiet to mean she is snooty, but they couldn't be further from the truth!!!

it'd be my great displeasure to meet these people, then. i'm very reserved, and my husband very helpful. i'd hate to see/hear what they would have to say about us.damned gossips.

To answer your question (which I'm pretty sure is phrased incorrectly), I think Trudy is better than alot of people. She is kind and generous. If you meant to ask Does anyone think Trudy thinks she is better than everyone else, then the answer is NO.
