I would be interested in hearing from anyone who knew the current condition of the Butman Cemetery on Boys Camp Road in Enfield NH. I have several ancestors buried there, and I havent been there since the 70's. The last time I searched for it, I could not locate it.
Thanks. |

You can contact the Enfield Town Offices http://www.enfield.nh.us/services.htm
You might also find the Town Historian, there's a map of all the cemeteries that was done decades ago, both should have it. I know of several Butmans but don't know when the last family member was buried there. |

Hello ! Which Butmans are you aware of? |

Hello, Andrew ~ I think Bert Walbridge was the town clerk back in the 1950s and/or '60s who mapped all the cemeteries. Your best link is for the Town of Enfield, the person in charge of the cemeteries is listed there but the town clerk or historian would be the best bet.
The town real estate records go back to 1960, I found a Herbert Butman Estate on my first search for Butman but don't remember him. You might do a search for Kidder. http://www.nhdeeds.com/grafton/GrIndex.html . Ernest Butman and wife ?Maude were the parents of Zelma Butman Kidder and Gerald (hard G) Butman. Gerald and wife had 3 children, James, Patrick, and Genevieve who was married and lived in Vermont last I knew. Ernest Butman had a sister Alice who lived in Maine and I forget if he had other sisters but I'd met Alice. Zelma married Elmer Kidder, parents of Alfred Kidder (deceased) and Joan (pronounced Jo-an) Kidder. Zelma and her parents are buried in the cemetery that's on the Main Street in Enfield. Also, the name Rice is further back in the geneaology. |

Oops, forgot one of Gerald's children, Mary Jane, from a previous marriage as I recall. I'm having to go back several decades.

Did you Google "Butman Cemetery"? Look like a couple of good leads there. Are you checking geneaology pages?
