WTF are you talking about you idiot. I was talking about FIREWORKS booths, not merchandise booths from downtown. Wipe the crust out of your eyes old man.

Famous actor, Charlie Sheen, will appear at this year's Campbellsville's July 4 Celebration in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Another surprise guest is likely to appear at the annual event, but information cannot be confirmed at this time. It is expected that Sheen will be co-grand marshall in the parade with Campbellsville's mayor. Two hours after the parade Sheen will be flown to Hell, Michigan for an annual July 4th Celebration.

No dummy but I wish they could have floats, bands from other schools, not one float and one band...do you see what I mean? I have expressed my thoughts to city officials and 4th of July organizers and all agree that they would try to do more but I guess nobody wants to build floats any more and I guess other schools are obligated somewhere else! Have a good one LMS!

LMS wrote: Just wave at the locals that do take the time to get involved!!! The Parade is for people to enjoy themselves!!!! A lot of people would rather see Uncle Joe in his old truck or old tractor than High School kids on a float????? And don't worry, I always have a good one and enjoy myself on here. As I have said, I am not on here for you, on here for me so nothing anyone says bothers me!! I see your point about uncle Joe or etc. and I guess that is pretty much true and that is why I quit going years ago, I have seen enough tractors to last me a while. When I said have a good one I meant a good night! I know you enjoy yourself on here!

Have a good one LMS! Most counties probably either already have their own parade of some sort....or, especially over the last few years the expense of trucking a couple busloads or so of kids and instruments, or trying to haul a parade worthy float between counties is probably not in the budgets. Just sayin......

Last year Mitch Mcconnell was the grand marshal. I guess he had to parade around town, just to take a peak at all the good people he has screwed since his tenure.

Just sayin...... Some of the floats in bigger parades are tall, and so are some of the eye-catching helium inflatables. In order to get the impressive floats, which I'm convinced Campbellsville could, we will have to re-route the power lines around the main street area. I would speculate that bigger cities with bigger parades and bigger floats have utility lines underground. Big expense, and probably will never happen. I've noticed black top sealer, new red brick walkways, handicap curbs, and new striping has been added. That's something.

It's concrete with grooves. And it's painted RED. And honestly, it likely does not meet ADA Standards because wheelchair wheels will get stuck in the grooves. In the end it will have to be redone.

Get real LMS. It has nothing to do with "being proud of our town" there isn't anything else to do here.
