Why does Taylor County support Marion and others by not being wet? TC is missing out on a lot of tax revenue.

Do you actually live here? This is a Baptist community! We were lucky to get the liquor by the drink passed that we did.

I dont know....alot of the sheeple around here aren't able to function overly well if they don't have someone telling them constantly what they can or cannot do.

They've lost their ability to think for themselves.

If they had to make intelligent choices for themselves, well.....it would probably get pretty ugly.

It's been one year since the moist vote passed and the first drink was served in Campbellsville. The chief of police reported no increased DUI arrest or any alcohol related misconduct. This has been a good test and now it's time to go all the way.

I hope you realize that I was going heavy on the sarcasm with my reply to you. I would fully support totally wet in every form or fashion that you could vote for it. I would vote for a liquor store on every corner. Get it started and good luck. I just don't think it will happen any time soon. Something would screw it up like the bogus lawsuit that luckily was dismissed.

Ok I can deal with going to a resturant and seeing beer mixed drinks whatever that is fine!
I lived in a big city and you could get beer and the 7/11 or wherever! There were more drunks hangin out around the stores! I worked at a gas station people would literally come in and grab a 24 pack and throw money at you and run! The gas station made a mistake of stacking 24 packs of beer right by the door inside and ppl would come and grab a 24 pack run off!
What I'm getting at is there is usually more theift and crime when there is easy acsess to liquor or beer! Really do we need our kids sittin in front of five star asking ppl to buy them beer or whatever? We have enough problems with pills, crack, and whatever else!
I have seen None Alcholic beer in Kroger which is retarded! I'm not sure if the guy who runs Big John's will let Alchol become here! I have had family members, boyfriend work up there and he pretty much calls the shots along with our Christians, I don't drink, I don't like drunks, I would honestly vote no! We already have kids going to Big Johns to get it, Why put it on every corner of every street! Believe me there will be more crap going on! We already are the #1 state with child abuse and babies havin babies, Why not add to it gesh! Alcohol is not the coolest thing around!
Why don't they just leagalize weed? I mean there would be less crime then! But that will never happen!

big johns is 8 miles away, do you think 8 miles closer to beer and liquor will make this town unsafer? Plus the fact that were giving marion county alot of tax money that we could use ourselves. 1000.00 permits to sale, plus tax per drink.

Exactly it won't with a liquor store on every corner either! Besides they have been trying to make Taylor co "wet" every since I can remember! If it happens I will be surprised b/c you see the guy that owns Big Johns and half of Marion co Liquor won't let it happen, He makes too much money as is!! This is coming from someone that knows the man well worked with him and talks to him alot! Plus like I said that has to be passed by the ppl and the authorities in Taylor!
We already have it in some resturants isn't that enough? NO we gotta be pilled up,needle pushin, cocaine habit child abusive drunks wow that is why I say no too much problems as is why add to it?
I guess the Hyrocritcal Christians want to get drunk slap there wife's, screw there step kids and then go to church acting as if all is great! That is bull they already have there crack pipes!
Tax money "we" can use ourselves hmm ya ok, in one hand and out the pisser!
need some help

wow, sounds like your family came from casey county. We're all not like the ones you been around. Coke, pills, and needles doesn't come from package stores.,they come from your local doctor. Crack is already here and package stores don't promote drugs.
Was you one of the survivors from Jonestown>>?
Sounds like it, it will be OK, just don't drink the cool-aid

You sound just like the ones that didn't want beer in restuarants, you said they would be drunks everywhere.
The police stated there has been no increase in DUI, or PI arrests since restuarants become wet
Your doing the same thing here, we all going to die from some drunk at minit mart?
There will NOT be a liquor store on every corner, is all the restaurants wet> . NO, only a few, just like there will only be a few package stores,
You need to stop yelling wolf, cause in the end, nobody will come when they are needed

Iknow chester probaly alot better than you. Old school money can't buy many votes anymore. People have different means of communications and information

He knows this already, if you really knew him, you would know this too. He has property already bought here and will profit when c-ville becomes wet
He's not stupid,

In less then 30 minutes anyone in the county can buy it. So why not go ahead & pass the law.
To be perfectly honest it would make Campbellsville a lot better, safer place to live.
So far looks like the votes on here have it as do it.

How in the hell would C-ville be better or safer if we were a wet County? Can you explain that to me please.

The over twenty-one crowd that wants to drink is not going to let the "County Line" stop them. Less people will stop off at Big Johns before driving home intoxicated if they can pick up a six pack on the way home.

As far as the under age, they will find a way to get alcohol regardless. They always have. I bought liquor at the drive thru in Marion Co. with a learner's permit...

Much needed revenue that we are handing to Marion and other counties.

people that want 2 drink n this town r going 2 ne ways n there is a liquor store 10 mnts up tp the road. why r we giving all the tax money we could desp use to lebanon. we already serve n some restaraunts what negative vers pos results could come from us going wet? yeah we'd b selling alcohol n stores bt who does that really hurt? its not like people who drink got to go that far 2 get alcohol why not use that tax money ourselves? alcohol is a legal substance, it's not like ne1 is askin 1 sell drugs here, it's legal! people nd 2 realize our economy is screwed n we could use ne help we can get. this could solve alot of our financial problems in campbellsville. we'd b stupid 2 pass this up give the money 2 lebanon n act like we're 2 good 2 sell legal drinks. this shouldnt even b a debate answer should b yes regardless.

Uhhhh...the tax you pay for alcohol doesn't go to the county, it goes to the state.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
