I drove my family through the miller park tonite and I want to thank whoever took the time to decorate it so pretty. Im sure it took alot of people to do all that hard work and every one of you all should be very proud. Again thanks so much for the display of lights and Merry Christmas to everyone.

Miller Park is in Campbellsville near the hospital off Lebanon Road. My family loved the lights to. I hope they are up for another week or so. We drive through the park every night. The kids love it.

The lights are nice. But all I can say is this, ask any city employee and they will tell you. Those lights were their pay raise in 2009. They got no raise because the city was broke, but they sure come out with the new lights this year didn't they. According to a police officer friend of mine, that place has just gone to the dogs apparently. They all are hoping for a new Mayor this time.

You dont know crap!!! Try growing up ! If you are an adult then all I can say is Lord help you! May not have gooten a raise but these lights have NOTHING to do with a raise.

we didnt get a raise because of eddie rogers and fiscal court, but they sure got one.hard to believe they are that many people in campbellsville-taylor co that dont have a clue.good gosh people just read the local papers and you would know the reason we didnt get a raise.

I agree that Eddie and his boys are too blame. They stole the occupational tax and then cried they didn't force the city to raise taxes.
We need to vote all of the county government out. They will then realize that city people vote for county officials.

That is what needs to be done. Get rid of Eddie first.

Here goes the crying again! You cant blame the City's problem's on the County, the occupational tax money from the start was for the running and opperation of a jail. The City and County both mishandled this money from the start by splitting it and using it for general fund money knowing that once a jail was built it would have to be used for the operation of the jail. Everyone new 5 years ago that this tome was coming and did nothing to prepare except spend every penny they could get from the payroll tax until they lost it. If you get some relief for blaming someone than it should be Dan Hayes, other than that blame Mrs. Allen form poor management of a situation she knew was comming.

Eddie has so much corruption going on in the courthouse, it aint funny. I bet you didn't know that his nummber one man, john harris, has a relative living in a camper parked next to the animal shelter, who do you think is providing the electricity and water, yep. What about Eddies farm that he has leased back to the county, do I smell conflict of interest here........... He needs to go.
you elected him

It's all your faults for electing him. A failed business owner you elected to run the county. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree around here. The problem is you complain, but never see you at the polls? All talk, no action. You shouldn't have a right to bitch about anything if your not willing to drive your lazy butt to the polls and push a button for your rights, for your children.

Check the records and the back issues of the news paper, the tax was not to build the jail. Plenty of people told the judge not to build a jail. When the tax was passed many said do not pass this just for a jail. Part of it initally was to go to a jail but the agreement changed and nothing was said about funding a jail. The signed agreement between the city and county says nothing about a jail. I have seen the agreement.
And don't blame me for Eddie. I did not vote for him.

As you say check the records! The original tax was to (first)fund the building and operation of a jail,(second) fund the industrial recurter's office,(third) fund the E911 center, and (fourth) split whatever was excess between the city and county. The olny reason the agreement was changed several times was because the jail was tied-up in lawsuites. If it would have been built from the start neither City or County would have had all this extra money in their general fund and set up their spending with this much money. My point is that the Mayor new this time was coming and continued to set a budget with money she new she wasn't going to have whenever the jail was built. I am glad they are using the money for what it was originaly supposed to be used for!

why were the lights not turned off during the daytime hours, that could have saved one half of the electric bill. I'm sure they had a master switch that could have turned them all off. And why are they still burning, should have been turned off prior to the new year.

You must not of lived here long. They usually keep the lights burning until after New Years Day. But just think how long it took them to set them up it will take that long to get them down.

Sorry dude, you are just wrong.
That first agreement was done away with. The agreement that existed before the county broke it says nothing about a jail.
That's the truth.
