We used to live in West Hills for about ten years. Waldo was truly a special person. Always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. When my family was homeless he came out to our car and gave our family, which included 7 children a complete meal with all the fixings. Although we no longer live in the area we have a p.o. box at this strip mall and visit there at least once a week, seeing Waldo's smiling face was always a highlight of those visits. My husband, my children and I are deeply saddened by this news. Tim, Darleen and the children

What a touching story of a great man, with such a big heart. Blessing to the Vacio family, and my deepest condolances. We need more men like Mr. Waldo Vacio.

What a blessed man, and all the people he touched.

Sincerly,
Tony Sanchez

We were devestated by the news of Waldo's death. We have known him for 20 years and he always had a smile on his face. We will miss you friend, may God bless your family and bring them peace in the days ahead. I hope that the person who caused this suffers the full extent of the law and knows every day what their stupid actions caused.

By the life he lived Waldo has won the hearts of those who knew him, and even this lady also, who didn't even know him. There are special places in heaven for good and wonderful people, who will feast with the King of Kings from now on..

Waldo is on his way to heaven, God only invites the best. To his family, and friends I say this: When night time dims the skies, look for the brightest star above and it will blink to let you know Waldo has arrived, in all of his glory.

My heart shares your sorrow and it reaches out to comfort all who loved him.
for I know what you are going through for I have been there too.

Take care of each other, in Jesus name.

I have known Waldo since I was 14, when my friend and I used to rollerblade or bike to El Pollo Amigo. I am now 33, have been a frequent customer of El Pollo Amigo's for 19 years now. I remember when Waldo stared as a worker there, and I was very proud of him when I found out he bought the place and became an owner. Waldo was one of the kindest and most genuine people, and this is why El Pollo Amigo not only flourished as a business with its good food (-power chimichangas!). He defined what customer service should be- wanting to make his customers happy and return with their business. Thank you Waldo, for all the good times.

For years we have been going to his resturant. He was always there, smiling chatting, so proud of what he and his family have been able to accomplish. Waldo will be missed greatly. Condolences to his family and the community. Waldo was a role model for everyone who knew him.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Hubaldo Vacio's family and friends. I too have seen way too many women driving SUVs, talking on their cell phones and ignoring the speed limits.

I have known Waldo and his family since I was a little girl, I know am 15 years old. I would always go into El Pollo Amigo with my family. He always asked how we were and he used to always call me his "little princess". As ive grown older he would always see me and run to the door, "my little princess! your growing up so big, give me a hug!" he always had me promise as I got older I'd always come in and give him a hug. He would always ask how I was if I was dancing... I would come to order my food and I would get so excited to see him. He always had a smile on his face, he gave the best hugs. Everybody loved Waldo, he was the sweetest and kindest man. I have always loved to go to El Pollo Amigo or as I called it, "Waldos". Any time I would call in to make an order, they would know it was me. Brian, Waldo's son has known me since elementary school and had helped me in middle schools. He would get picked up by Waldo, i'd be waiting for my ride and hed ask me sometimes, princess you need a ride, and id always say its okay ill wait for mine. Waldo was the nicest guy to everybody, like others said. He wouldnt just take your order, he would talk to you see how things were ask about your family if he really knew you well, or just make you smile. I am going to miss Waldo so much, to his family my deep regards go to you all. Waldo was such a good man, such a good role model, and kept everyone happy. He would always know my exact order and sometimes slip a french fry with my chips. I am going to miss you soooooo much Rest In Peace. I will never forget you .
I will always remember your hugs :)

Man, I'm sittin' here with a tear running down my face. It sounds like the world is a poorer place today, missing one of it's gifts to humanity.
I hope it was a really important call, lady. I hope you spend the rest of your life thinking about it.
Hopefully, if we ALL remember this tragedy the next time we're driving and "need" to make a call, maybe we'll pull over for the call and keep another tragedy from happening.

Although the emphasis on laughter and leisure will continue during the rest of the month, today you'll also have to pay attention to your working life. You might have to put in some extra hours in order to meet a deadline, or you could soon be given new responsibilities. If you're fed up with your current job, start considering your options.
