Someone mentioned something has happened at Victory Church on another thread. Does anyone know what has happened? Is Jerry Ables still the pastor there?

We don't know. They don't want us to know. It's a secret society. Keep your voice down.

H'es still seen on the TV station, but I wouldn't doubt it if he went on to bigger and better things. He fits the "TV evangelist" role and likes the glamour and slick lights.

I saw him on a commercial for the El Dorado branch of Victory...but I don't go to that church so I can neither confirm nor deny that he is still the pastor there

As far as I know, nothing has happened. Bro Jerry has a great heart and just wants to see people come to Christ. He is not slick and doesn't like the glamour. He simply wants to do things for the community and to build a church that see's lives' changed. His commitment to this area for 30+ years should be commended.

Nondenominational churches are churches that consider themselves simply Christians. Some are nondenominational because their belief structures are unique. And they beleive in the same God as Baptist, Methodist ect.... And far as Victory goes, I personally think that it is the best church in Camden I was a member there years ago when they first started. Pastor Ables is truely a man of God.

I seen it with my own eyes. I went because someone who was going wanted me to. I dont go to church often or hardly at all but I was like what the hell. Then at the end of the sermon after the preacher was talkin about giving money so he can buy boxes of apples for kids in Africa and also contradicting his own story of a man in a coma who was talking him, but he meant literally, I guess forgeting he told everyone that the guy was in a coma. This woman busted out talking all kinds of geberish. I couldnt help but bust out and laugh, it was hilarious. Come to find out the same person did the same thing in Eldorado. I see why I dont go to church now and havent been to another one since.

If it takes a carnival to get people to Church I do not need to go there, instead of spending money on carnivals to bring people in they should help widows and orphans like it says to do in the Bible.

I know that we are supposed to help our community out and everything but victory takes it beyond the limits. Carnivals are only to try and get people to come to church there so that maybe they will give the church offerings everytime they go. And I believe in helping kids out, but this school supply stuff is crazy to me. Basically, lazy, drug heads of camden wait for this every year so that they can go to victory once and get school supplies and shoes for their kids that they would be able to buy if they would get a job and quit buying drugs and alcohol or just quit buying drugs and alcohol with the money they make on their jobs. I am not saying that helping the community is wrong, but helping drug heads, alcoholics, and lazy people buy stuff is stupid to me. quit giving them free shit and maybe they will actually get off their asses and get a job...

Quit hating on Victory. Alot of people are jealous of Victory because they are actually doing better than most churches around Camden. You can see where your offerings are going because they are helping the community cant say that for alot of churches in Camden. If you got a problem with how they run they church why dont you go and tell them.

What do you mean they "are actually doing better than most churches around Camden?"
Do you mean head count? LOL
Other churches don't have to bring in Carnivals to get the children out, nor do they have to get on TV to lure people.
What you are talking about is NOT helping the community, it's helping VICTORY. You've obviously been brainwashed.
Now go help the carnies set up. LOL

Churches are a cult. Plus from seeing that comercial at Stars theaters like 500 times that pastor guy is gay. You cannot talk like that and be straight.
