I just had something confirmed and I still can't believe it. The contract for the administrators at the North Branch schools was negotiated about two years ago with a total increase in wages of 5 % over those two years. So instead of using their heads and cutting back about the time things were getting tough for everybody in this county, they voted a raise for themselves instead. Well how pleasant of a thought, people are loosing their homes and these people Levy for more taxes, what the hell is this County coming to?

I've got in front of me the administrative wage schedule for the 2008-2009 year, the Superintendent makes $146.405.00 in wages, then to really rub salt in the wound, we the tax payers shell out another $43.117.70 in fringe benefits, for a total of last years wages and perks of $189.552.70, the year before the super made $142.140.00 - hum pretty good increase in one year don’t you think? I can’t even imagine what kind of insurance I could provide for my family on $43k, can you? That’s $3600 dollars a month for insurance and other fringe benefits, most people don’t make that in wages a year.

I think it’s time to vote alright but not for this con job! Vote NO on Nov 3rd, take care of your family not the schools administrators bank account.
