It wouldn't BE a matter of race if the professor didn't jump to that conclusion. It was the professor who used racial remarks, not the police officer. Professor Gates acted irrationally, ignoring the police authority and beligerantly responding to someone investigating a possible breaking and entering. It didn't matter WHO the owner of the home was, there was a job to be done. We are all of the human race, we all make mistakes. Professor Gates was mistaken in his actions towards the officer.

Inviting the guy over for beer or not, the President should be man enough to apologize, in public for his own, human error. BTW Why is the media blowing this thing up? Isn't there something more important to be reporting about?

There have been small pieces but nothing major. Probably been more written on black on black crime than black on white.

Again, BHO made the beer offer! It's a common cop-out he offers when he's made a major gaffe. Why would the police officer offer a beer to a racist who just called him stupid and another racist who went on a tirade of racist namecalling after his home was being investigated for a possible break-in? Duh!

The president said he should have chosen his words more carefully but stopped short of an apology. "Because this has been ratcheting up and I helped to contribute to ratcheting it up, I want to make it clear that in my choice of words I unfortunately gave the impression I was maligning the Cambridge police department and Sergeant Crowley and I could have calibrated those words differently," he said.

Seeking to lighten the situation further, he said at the daily White House briefing that he had invited both Crowley and Gates for "a beer here in the White House".

Obama's is nothing if not a slick political survivor -- he was made aware of the polls siding with the police officer and choked out the words to save his political hide. He did not apologize because as a black he is not capable of apologizing to a white person regardless of the egregious offense. Gates is not capable of apologizing, although there are numerous witnesses and a recording proving Gates was yelling and creating a scene; Gates will never tell the truth. The man has a PhD in White Hatred from Harvard -- the bastion of elitist bigotry and white hatred.

Sgt. Crowley should bring a witness with him to meet with Obama -- because Barry probably plans to berate him further. And not meet with Obama if the witness is not permitted to remain. If Gates is there, Barry will likely insist Crowley apologize to Gates face-to-face. If the Sergeant brings a recording device, the Secret Service will conviscate it.

If BO's healthcare bill is passed, those committees proposed to decide who lives and who dies in America will be based on race, not survivability. You know both of these racists quite well, my friend. If Officer Crowley has any respect for himself, and I know he does, he should not even bother meeting with those two hatemongering racists. I wouldn't give either the time of day much less wasting my time on them.
