Every senator who voted for amnesty should be voted out of office. Why would they represent the ILLEGAL people over the LEGAL citizens. Where is that written in the constitution they have sworn to enforce? I am a plumber and my standard of living has steadily fallen over the years. I wonder if the fact that my boss can pay unskilled ILLEGAL immigrants less than half of what I make plays a role in that? I wish I could vote against every corrupt politician who votes for AMNESTY but I can only vote against the ones in my district. What a shame. Please dont let these laws pass. I wish the government would only do their duty and enforce our laws instead of taking orders from big business. When will the greed stop? I wish my one year old daughter could know the country I knew in my early years but that country isnt there anymore. I pray she will not get killed on the streets or in school.My Medical insurance cost my family thirty five dollars a week in 1996. It will cost me one hundred eighty dollars a week in 2006. How much does yours cost? I wonder why millions of ILLEGAL immigrants dont sneak over the Canadian border? Why isnt the leader of canada lobbying for immigration reform? We dont need new laws that will never be enforced. We need to secure our borders and enforce the laws on the books now. I wonder if millionaires helped get the laws passed that keep employers from being punished for illegally hiring people. I guess millionaires have become the majority. They are represented almost as good as the ILLEGAL people demanding rights reserved for LEGAL us citizens. It seems funny to me how lawyers forget the difference betweem LEGAL and ILLEGAL when they are ellected to office. Maybe a grant should be issued to do a comprehensive study on the cause of this? If the president ignores the law, WHY cant I. If only I were ILLEGAL. Thank you

why does the goverment use thet little number 12 million....its like they said 3 million last time....just guessing from what i see 20 million would be a closer number...and it could be higher

AMNESTY, SHAMNESTY. Arguments to date don’t even try to DEFINE the term. Failure to do so is simply more the mouth of a demagogue to get the uncritical excited for political advantage. And the “mediums” [sic] are even getting worse at playing word games than you ultrapartisans. The practical issue of what to do with existing undocumented/illegals won’t go away simply by arguing that “I won’t do anything about this unless you first close your eyes to the existing problem of the existing illegals” is about the stupidest argument I can dream of. If people want to do something constructive about dealing with the problem of immigration, immigrants, immigrant offspring, etc., set down the partial solutions in concrete practical terms; prioritize them, since they can’t all get done instantly anyway; specify a time schedule; and enforce the time schedule in legislation, either by taking real responsibility (not more hot-air noise) or identifying the Executive Branch to do so (if you have the guts), and get on with it. This continuing gamesmanship and posturing is tiresome and demeaning to the concept of what should be responsible governance.

yes its a mess...day to day dont know if we need to keep americans on payroll and pay ins..on them...or just work all illegals and save ins..but what if goverment cracks down...and we dont have anybody...you know americans will want the same wages they got 10 year ago...and the ins..and s.s. will cut our proffet to what it was 10 year ago..and i want to retire in 5 years...5 years of wet back labor is 20 years of american labor

Amnesty is not the answer not the answer.At least the house knows our cncerns.I have to compeat against even for a part time sale job.Its akso time the feds inforce I.D.theft'S.S. numbers.Or will some senators will include that with their amnesty.Keep up the emails let them hear our voice........

Let me get this straight...If an illegal alien has been sneaky, devious and law-breaking for 5 years, he or she will be on the road to citizenship? We've got enough of those kind of people in the government, for heaven's sake! There should not be automatic citizenship for children of illegal parents, either...that should be changed. The pregnant women who crawl, swim, or climb over our border to give birth know that they will then have an anchor here and will not be sent back to where they came from. It angers me to have seen those illegal aliens marching in OUR streets, demanding rights that belong to AMERICAN citizens! Mexico strictly enforces its southern border and has even shot people trying to enter their country illegally. Jobs there are given first to Mexican citizens. If an American wants to establish residency in Mexico, they must prove that they have a minimum income of $1000 per month. They are not eligible for free medical care, schooling, or social services. I am extremely fed up with the politicians who are pandering to Vicente Fox...now the government says we must confer with Mexico before going forward with OUR border security! WHAT!!?? The Sensenbrenner bill is the way to go and I hope he sticks to his guns!

Senator Sessions IS ONE OF A FEW SENATORS WHO VOTTED AGAINST IT.Their is a dead stop in the House.Their is alot of versions ou their.If you google this you can see were the reps. stand.That was one Mr.Bush wants passed.Here is a thaught if passed they will get some type of health care.Think about does any one you know does not have any health care?29 million Americans do not.So let FEARLESS LEADER TAKE CARE OF THEM FIRST..........Screw the rest of us.Our goverment is more worried what Meeico thinks.

Cliff, You may be rite I am sure who ever counted ,probably did not count all of them.I a sure they all stuck up their hands and said count me I am here illegaly I STOLD I.D.S,I broke federal laws just by beeing here!Thats like saying how many beans in a jar.

This is a quote from the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.......

Well, as usual, you are right and by the way, congratulations on your retirement.Now that we have that out of the day, the Declaration fo Independence of course referred to British rule and resulted in a revolution. Our Constitution provides other ways but not advocacy to overthrow the existing government. Therein lies the problem. We dislike how our elected officials are handling the illegal alien monstrosity but our hands are proverbially tied. We have to wait until November to start ousting ALL incumbents who support amnesty--it's amnesty regardless how they try to shroud it in sugar. Our legislative bodies police themselves and do a very, very poor job of it. Crooks slide. The crooks that are caught refuse to resign. Something is wrong with that entire picture. They are NOT representing their constituents when it comes to immigration. Let's not overlook the fact that getting elected (or re-elected) is more important to these greedy and power hungry than a bunch of illegal aliens. The ILLEGAL immigration issue is about money and votes - period. The multi-national corportions want the cheap labor and our politicians want their block votes.

I hope that the American voters hold BOTH parties feet to the fire in November. Sensenbrenner and Tancredo are two heroes in this fight to strip the cutain of deceit from the Senate bill S.2611. THIS IS AN AMNESTY BILL - make no mistake about it. This bill wants to give illegals social security benefits and even earned income credits. Who is going to repay AMERICAN taxpayers for all the education,healthcare and social services that have ALREADY been consumed ILLEGALLY. They have NO rights to these services! I have voted Republican all my life but I hope that they get their heads handed to them come November if they vote for Bush, McCain,Kennedy,Graham et al "comprehensive" AMNESTY bill.

The illegals may think that it will give them the rite to vote.Here in Cook Co.THE LAST ELECTION WE HAD A GOOD SIZE GROUP OF THEM WHO TRED TO VOTE.I am a judge it tied us up for a hour.I was able to optain all names called county p.d,They would not could not do anything .Next step was to contact states attorney I wanted them charged with a couple violations nothing was done.

It seams lately Mr Bush is more worried about foriegn goverments opinions .I am sure it will kill his party in November.Other than the millions of Americans with out health care.The guest worrker program probably has health care included with it.
